The point is you DON'T have to pay nearly $40 for that 2-Disc Set (if that's they way you decide to go).

EMPEROR's NEW GROOVE CE DVD problem
Well its not really a problem, but more of an observation. In the insert, there is a long essay from Shumacher. my problem with it is that it sounds like he is apologizing for making a 2d retro style movie. Anyone else get that feeling. Why should he apologize for a movie with awsome animation?

Question about Emperor's New Groove DVD
I am looking to buy The Emperor's New Groove: The ultimate Groove Edition, but before I buy it I want to make sure that it orginally didn't have a slipcover release. So my question is did the emperor's new groove SE ever have a slip cover? Thanx for you help.
Re: Question about Emperor's New Groove DVD
No it didn't. The Emperor's New Groove: The Ultimate Groove Edition came out prior to the slipcases. I hope they rerelease it with one though. Even if it did, and you bought it without one, you could always call Disney and they would be more than willing to send you oneMinos wrote:I am looking to buy The Emperor's New Groove: The ultimate Groove Edition, but before I buy it I want to make sure that it orginally didn't have a slipcover release. Sorry to be off-topic but can I ask where you got Doe's Disney Cuties pictures? The Doe website is on hiatus and I wanted some pictures. I can wait for the clothes to come out in the summer!RJKD23 wrote:emperor's new groove CE did not have slip cover...because it came in the same packaging as SNOW WHITE PE, TARZAN CE, and ATLANTIS CE.
I also wanted to know if there is anything super special about the CE New Groove DVD?? I have the regular and I wanted to know if I should upgrade...
Re: Question about Emperor's New Groove DVD
Two places you should look for slipcover questions:Minos wrote:I am looking to buy The Emperor's New Groove: The ultimate Groove Edition, but before I buy it I want to make sure that it orginally didn't have a slipcover release. Jake's terrific thread:

And all our reviews always mention packaging in the DVD Details section. If there was a slipcover it'd say so. We actually have whole paragraphs devoted to packaging lately!
"Fifteen years from now, when people are talking about 3-D, they will talk about the business before 'Monsters vs. Aliens' and the business after 'Monsters vs. Aliens.' It's the line in the sand." - Greg Foster, IMAX chairman and president
Black double Alpha keepcase actually, white was for the single disc release (at least that's how it was up here in Canada)Key wrote:No slipcover as it was released in a time of... no slipcovers (;)) and it came in a white (I believe), double Alpha keepcase. Thick shite.
