At the end of the day, the colour-timing of this Diamond release all comes down to 'Restoration' vs 'Intention'. The film was transferred from CAPS (Computer Files) and as such, one would assumed that since their is no deterioration in the film from this process, it would only require an immediate t...

So there's been talk about the type of cut is on this release. This is the roadshow cut? What other cuts are there and what cuts do people feel should have been on this release instead? It is indeed the Roadshow (original) cut. The only differences from the original release, as far as were told, ar...

All the clips I've watched from the Virtual Vault have buffered. As soon as you select the 'Vault' from the main menu of the F2000 disc, its obvious that the little film-strip icon which lights up is the sign that the content is loading from B.D Live. If only company's like Disney would realise that...

The whole 'Sunflower' topic has been blown out of proportion for years, and has been done so not because the appearance of an extra few seconds of animation will immediately improve the film (that is, regardless, already a masterpiece), but simply for anarchy. It's making a fuss for the sake of maki...

Disney really dropped the ball on the bonus features. What gets me is that this was the chance to really push out the best release possible for this significant film, and yet in comparison to Beauty and The Beast, Fantasia seems rushed. There was no excuse for it. These films are only release every ...

I just learned of Deems Taylor being overdubbed with another voice. I watched the comparrison posted above, and I definitely remember, and now miss, Deems Taylor's distinctive voice. Does anyone know, or could someone explain, why he was replaced? The original nitrate film that stored these audio s...

I agree. The restorations shouldn't come into the argument because all of Disney classic traditional films are having the same restoration treatment; thats a universal attribute. But when it comes to features, there is a clear void. Beauty and The Beast is typically Disney's lovechild - almost to th...

I don't get why the heck in the U.K, were only getting the original Fantasia in a single pack and not F-2000. Given that the Combo-Pack doesn't even contain the DVD's, it seems like such messy marketing to have all these different releases across the globe. I've ordered both the single pack and the ...

identical to the 60th anniversary dvd from 2000. It's not identical - this 2010 release has the original RCA title card. Its a black background with yellow lettering  http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z272/miniroll32/Screenshot2010-10-22at225250.png The card from the VHS and DVD releases was...

Does the zoom-in to remove Sunflower at least look better on this release? It was horrible on the old disc as the grain got magnified exponentially. It looks flawless because with the way Lowry restore animated films, the background paintings are stabilized and re-used for each frame, leaving no fi...

The new 2010 release includes the exact same footage as the 2000 DVD release, disregarding the restoration. In fact, the only change is the title cards. I was surprised when the film started that the original title card (the RCA one) is black with yellow lettering! But this and all the other Deems T...
