I last saw the Golden Collection Vol 2 in HMV for £19.99 (half RRP) so if you can find it there that might be better (cheaper).

Cinderella bargains/ offers in UK thread

Hi, I thought i'd start a quick thread about Cinderella; I was in Asda today, and they told me that from tomorrow it will be available for £12.97 (!!!) but only for one week. No word on whether any soft toys will be included with it, as with previous Asda platinum DVD's. Does anyone know of any chea...

They really went to town on Snow White and to a lesser extent with Beauty and the Beast but the platinum editions have been declining in terms of their extra features and having too much filler. Presumably they have archive material they could put out with these films but are now holding it over for...

It just offers them another way of selling it in the future if they categorise this edition so precisely as 10th anniversary. We had the single disc editions, then the wonderful 'Ultimate Toy Box' (note: not ''Ultimate Edition') now the 10th anniversary edition, and someday we will get an 'Ultimate ...

Still haven't been to HMV but I thought I'd add that Woolworth's have a sale advertised too. A couple of weeks ago I picked up Melody Time DVD for £7.99, and saw sone Treasures in tins for the same price!

HMV sale

Hi guys. Just pointing out that according to yesterday's papers HMV has a massive sale beginning today. I can't get to an HMV before the weekend, so if anyone sees any bargains (especially animated feature bargains!) please be kind enough to post about them here! Thanks.

Two questions - 1. Does anyone know if the Emperor's New Groove 'new' special edition is going to be released in the UK? 2. Not that I want to start a rumour or anything, but does anyone know if the Lilo & Stitch SE is limited in any way? I haven't seen very many of them out anywhere, there seem...

Has anyone seen UK Treasures in stores?

I checked Woolworth's, WH Smith's, Asda and Virgin today - none of them had the new DVD Treasures, in contrast to last year when Woolies and Smith's had them on the first day - are they out??? Has anyone else seen them? I don't want to buiy them from Play I want to buy them on the high street so I d...

I actually believed this until I got to 'gotcha' at the bottom, and the reason I believed it is, first, because it sounds plausible - BVHE UK are just rubbish - and second, I can believe they'd say something like this as an excuse to shelve the platinum line just to start all over again when the nex...

Thanks guys! Glad I haven't bought the wrong thing, and I appreciate that list. Interesting that Sleeping Beauty was widescreen - and then they went back to full frame??? Was SB an experiment? Anyway, I'm glad I've got the only bambi edition available, that would have really annoyed me if a WS had b...

Just watched Bambi for the first time ever and i have to say it's a terrific film - but can anyone tell me definitevely if a widescreen version is available? The glaring omission from the list is 101 dalmations - presumably that's Oct 2007...? They're leaving it so late you wonder if 101 dalmations will get a dvd release at all (apart from the deleted no frills version a while back).

Is the only way of getting the gift set in the UK to order the R1 version through a US website? There's no UK gift set with book etc planned? Snow White had one.
