Lilo and Stitch: Special Edition...RRPs and Release Dates?

Post by Wonderlicious »

As many of you know, the 2 Disc Set of Lilo and Stitch has been up at play.com for a little while now. I decided to look at some Amazon listings for the sake of it, and discovered to my disbelief that Lilo and Stitch was up...but at a £29.99 RRP and also out earlier on August 22nd! ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASI ... /ref=nosim )

I know that this is probably a little mistake from BVHE UK and/or Amazon, but could it possibly signal an earlier release date?

Oh, and Amazon lists this as a box set, so there could be a slipcover for anyone interested in any way.

Well the High £29.99 SRP would suggest to me a Lilo and Stitch/L+S 2 boxet as that is the usual SRP for those boxsets.

Likewise it could be a DVD with beanie, like the previous L+S giftset.

Who knows whether it will be out in August? Who knows if it will be out in September? In all honesty BVHE UK could release it tomorrow, (the first Thursday DVD release in history! ;)) and it woulddn't surprise me.

There is still nothing in the way of a press release, so i guess until then we just keep guessing.

Im also guessing theres going to be a boxset with the SE & Stitch Has A Glitch since Tarzan and Pooh are having boxsets as well.
Im really starting to understand what BVHE are really like, i mean i just dont get why we know about things so late or upcoming dvd art & press releases's are only weeks before the release date.
Look at Cinderella in the US all cover art and bonus features have been posted on websites, in the UK we dont even have Cinderella up for pre-order.

Price has droped to £22.99! Sound far more reasonable, especially when considering that other hits such as Monsters, Inc. sell for £24.99!

I can confim that the UK L&S 2 Disc set includes an English DTS soundtrack (although this is not mentioned on the box anywhere). It also has an English Audio Descriptive soundtrack, if that floats your boat.

The UK 2 disc set also features the Gareth Gates music video (and I would assume it also has Garath crooning on the closing credits)

Sadly, L&S2 only has Dolby Digital 5.1, even though like L&S, the only soundtrack is in English.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Ok Andy asked me if the L+S / L+S 2 pack had a hole on the front which allowed you to see through to the dvd case underneath, well when it arrived I just glanced at it and told him that it was just a regular box, however now I've taken more time to have a look at it and unwrapped it, it does in fact have a hole in the front allowing you to look through it!

Will the Lilo and Stitch SE have the ending that was scrapped after 9/11? Or is that well and truly locked in the vault?
Just release every Disney full-length toon on DVD - now, damn you!

Anyone else ordered on the internet and it not been posted?
Both Amazon and Play haven't posted, looks like no-one has had their delivery of stock yet.

Well that can't be true, because I ordered it on the internet and have had it since last Wednesday, so some stores must have it!
