I'm SO hoping this is true!!! I still want the unreleased episodes of TaleSpin in good (= NOT youtube) quality! :) But what I'd like even more is them making the episodes available digitally (ITunes, Netflix, Amazon, ...anything!), and in all countries, so that anyone can get access to them! They're...

I DREAM of a TaleSpin DTV film!!! This is the Disney show that holds up the best, it's perfect for adults and kids alike. I think Disney should have done DTV films of their Disney Afternoon shows instead of doing unneeded cheap sequels to their films...especially because the DA shows were MADE to ha...

UmbrellaFish => What's the exact source of this message? I searched on "Ask Greg" but could not find it. It's... disappeared? I looked in the comment room, and a few people noticed it but there's no explanation as to why it was taken off. Very odd. I would guess this is either Disney, Boo...

UmbrellaFish => What's the exact source of this message? I searched on "Ask Greg" but could not find it. Anyway, at least we now know the *real* reason why Boom officially declined to get the TaleSpin licence :( http://forums.boom-studios.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2509 Once again, Disney...

Gummi Bears series creator to do a special webinar!

Jymn Magon is the creative mind behind such beloved series as Gummi Bears, TaleSpin, and also worked on other famous ones like Rescue Rangers, Ducktales, Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop. THIS saturday, he is doing a special webinar for the 25th anniversary of Gummi Bears, with a lot of folks who worked on...

Blunt, but I have to agree. I'm still grumpy that even when they did release the TDA shows, it was almost like a big secret that unless you happen to run into, you'd never know they were out. My lintel tells me that Disney stopping releasing them becuase their numbers didn't sell enough. I never sa...

Other suggestion for Disney: put some effort into creating high-quality, distinct animated tv series again. You were singling out yourselves in a postive way from 1985-1995, but in the past decade you've been aping Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. Shame on you. Bring us shows like Duck Tales, TaleS...

Judging from most reports, it seems like the Ducktales and CDRR DVDs appear more often. Maybe due to the impact of Boom! Darkwing, Ducktales and (soon) CDRR comics.

Does anyone know if TaleSpin DVDs are available too?

I said "one day". We never know what can happen in 10 years. Maybe one or all of the Disney Afternoon series could become popular again. (isn't Tron coming back, for example, when it wasn't even a success to begin with?) Also, the two Aladdin sequels were (AFAIK) produced by Disney TV anim...

Well THAT is amazing then :) I would really love for someone to post a screenshot or something... I would really love to (re)discover the Disney Afternoon shows in better quality than the overly compressed DVDs (and for which not all episodes have been released...) Even an upscale would be great, if...

Is it really "true" HD or just upscaled?
I must say I'm curious on the quality ...(I'm still wondering how the DTV sequels and the Disney Afternoon shows would look if one day, they would release them on Bluray)

I'm surprised this hasn't been posted yet! Following the success of the Darkwing comics, Boom! Studios is coming up in December with an ongoing series for the Disney Afternoon show "Chip n'Dale Rescue Rangers" : http://www.comicbookdaily.com/daily_news/boom-studios-announces-new-disney-tit...

Well then Disney should also consider reviving their own Talespin series...from which Porco Rosso was inspired! (more information here)

It was also much better (I have to admit I found Porco Rosso very slow and boring...)

I wish it were the other way around. I'm not a big fan of Pixar's films (with the exception of Ratatouille) and I can hardly watch any of their films more than once, while I absolutely adore 2-D films. Oh well Embarassed Wow! Recently, I've seen some of the episodes again and to me, it's one of those shows you loved as a child but can't hold your attention very long now that you're an adult (unlike Gummi Bears and Duck Tales). That's exactly the same feeling I have about Rescue Rangers : a fine show for kids, but not so...

Big Disney Fan and mrbones => I support you 100% :) I think the exact same things, and I keep telling this everywhere. Yes, the main problem at Disney currently is that they're making things for SPECIFIC age/social categories, when they used to make things for EVERYONE. That's a huge difference. And...
