The irony is, when the Donald Duck Theme became the official tune of all the shorts, circa 1949, its lyrics, meant to be tongue-in-cheek, weren't so for the much part if you compared it to the short playing. Don stopped to start arguments. Don started being RIGHT most of the time. At times, he even...

This all played into Disney's penchant for being eternally distracted by supporting characters, in both the shorts and the movies. As far as shorts go, Jack Hannah proved early on that he was capable of much better storytelling. Under both circumstances, Disney's worst cartoons were often those whe...

While I'm all up for more material starring my favorite Disney character, I disagree. "Trouble Shooters" was entertaining as an extra, but it suffers from slow timing and a concept we have seen a lot in the Duck mythos already. I'd much rather have an all-new Donald Duck short with more c...

What I'd like to see is maybe an actual release of "Trouble Shooters". It's a storyboarded concept for a Donald cartoon in which Donald is hooking up telephone wires, but runs afoul of a woodpecker living in a telephone pole. It was shown as a bonus on Chronological Donald 4. While I'm al...

Woah. I'm really surprised at the lack of hype for Donald's unfinished short being included in D4. That alone is worth a buy in my book. Also, I think Bee on the Beach does deserve to be on the Vault section. While it doesn't contain anything political incorrect, the ending it's probably the crueles...

Let's talk about unusual Donald Duck shorts!

Ok, here's how it works. When you think of Donald Duck shorts, a formulaic series of ingredients come to mind; 1)Something or Someone provoking Donald (Or the opposite, Donald pulling a prank on a living being) 2)Object/Animal having to reliate. Physical conflict arouses, with Donald getting angrier...

What worries me more is that now that the Treasures line may have end, those may be the latest Treasures in other lands...Darn, Donald's my fave character, but Goofy shorts need to be published here! :x You're talking about Goofy cartoons, but you know what else needs to be published here? B&W ...

It's time they releases a couple more at least, especially the sequels to the ones already released here. Well, if you were to look at the bad Spanish translation of the article Isidro25 put up, you would notice that two more WDTs are evidently done deals: Pluto 1 and Donald 2. What worries me more...

No way...This can't be the end, can it? I guess it can. But then again, I still have faith. I can see Leonard asking Disney for the two latest DD volumes, and Disney giving green light to it, even if that's all. BTW, if we get the latest DD volumes, I would love to see the Donald segments of "S...

No mention of the Goofy set, but hey, good to know they're still in production 8) PS: The letter is in Spanish...if you want to read it an...

Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pete and others are technically black :) Besides any jokes, I agree with the idea of a black princess. But not the Frog Princess, please! They need to find a magical story and make it good enough so you can remember it, then put a black princess on it. Not saying F...

All are considered Donald Duck cartoons - I know they heavily feature Goofy but when the documentors of the shorts talk about the Cartoons, they are classified by the title card. The title card said they were a Donald Duck cartoon for all three of those. In the Chronological Donald Volume 1 they ap...

I think the next Chronological Donald Volume will have cartoons from 1947 to 1951. Then the later will have the last ones, but I don't know if stuff like "Donald in Mathmagic Land" or "Donald and the Wheel" will be there. We have a chance, because MMiLCV2 had these...but in Donal...
