The Disney Movie Rewards Discussion & Information Thread

I can honestly say that I am very dissapointed in this new program- I was hoping for something more like the old mail in certificates. Each movie looks to be worth about 100 pts and rewards start at 400 pts. What I was most dissapointed with was the fact that the lowest rewards are things like movie...

I'm really glad to hear this, because as ashamed as I am to admit this, I didn't get the chance to see this in theatres, so I'm happy this effect will be preserved on DVD. Its also a sign to me that at least 1 person at Disney knows what they are doing, it gives me hope for future releases.

I really like it, but I'd like to see it look more of a purple color, like the VHS cover. Mostly because all of the other platinum/special/masterpiece covers lately have been some shade of dark blue (Snow White, Beauty & the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, and Alice) except for Lion King. I'd just like ...

This just makes me so sad. . . if what the jim hill media article says is even half true it really shows how eager disney is to avoid failure and protect the almighty bottom line for the shareholders. However I also had a thought, since it did seem to have a country theme, possibly the utter and tot...

I was guessing the fullscreen was okay, because it said 'original' on the box, and luke has it listed as such on his list. So, if fullscreen is the OAR, should I avoid anything on ebay that says its in widescreen??

Peter Pan Question

I have a question-- what is the OAR of Peter Pan?? I want to buy this, and I've been looking on ebay, sometimes the auctions say it is a widescreen, and some say fullscreen. Does anyone have any insights on this? I don't want to make a mistake and buy a bootleg, and everyone here seems to know every...

I noticed that the zebras in the "I can't wait to be king" part look blue. I think they over-brightened that part. At the end, once Simba reclaims Pride Rock, they look nice and black again, so I know it wasn't my TV. Has anyone else noticed this??? The new colors are beautiful, but I woul...

Okay, thank you for clearing that up... I was so confused and that commericial looked so promising... I can't believe that they are putting that on TV, its like they want the general public to THINK that the 'original' is really orginial. I guess the way they look at it though, how many people...

I know there has been a lot of discussion about the re-animation of scenes, and Disney not including the original version of TLK on the DVD. However, today on tv, I saw a commerical for TLK and it said "includes both the original and new special versions of the film. . . " and it even show...
