Question about 'The Lion King' Platinum Edition DVD
Does anybody know and tell me what movie previews are going to be in this release? Are there going to be any previews of 'Aladdin' on IMAX or the Platinum for Aladdin? Or... (This is a stupid question)... 'The Rescuers' maybe...?

Uh - actually a lot of reviews I've read so far have included the trailers - which are Hakuna Matata, Sleeping Beauty Special Edition, Finding Nemo, Brother Bear, Mary Poppins Special Edition, Santa Clause 2, George of the Jungle 2, and an ad for Walt Disney World.
*shrug* Nothing new and amazing, unfortunately.

Brother Bear is a given, since they moved Brother Bear up a year from 2004 just to cross-promote it with a trailer on The Lion King DVD.
The Lion King 1 1/2 is also a given.

Yeah, there was a sneak peek for The Lion King's IMAX release on Beauty and the Beast's PE last year. So far there's been not a whisper about Aladdin - either for IMAX or its PE. It is listed on IMAX's website, but you'd be hard-pressed to find anything about it on Disney's myriad pages. Kinda unnerving, really. O_o
And yes, I know the Mary Poppins SE thing is new, Luke, but 1) it was already mentioned on that insert in Sleeping Beauty's dvd, and 2) I'm sure it's just a piddly cockteaser that only mentions it's "Coming in 2004" - no feature listings or nothin'. Grr...

I wasnt talking bad about them at all! I love The Rescuers! Why did you think I was talking bad about them? I just feel bad because Disney didn't make a better edition for the movie. I said the DVD is already out, I would have liked to see other movies that I do not have on DVDTangela wrote:Pleasen talk nicely about Bernard and Bianca around me, I get ofended easily when it comes to 'The Rescuers'.Matt wrote:Why are they having The Rescuers for? It already came out on DVD! I do not get it!![]()
I would rather have Aladdin!

That is soo STUPID!!!! Why would they not want to take this opertuntunity to promote it??? As well as Alice in Wonderland, Pocahontas, and Lilo and Stitch??? I mean even if they mention them in the booklets, theres nothing like seeing a preview for them, right before the main feature, the excitement from the approaching "Feature Presentation", as well as the excitement for the coming releases just combines and it's like man, you are so pumped up about whats to come. You think they're gonna get that kinda excitement from the Santa Clause 2? I mean it might be a good movie, but it is no AIW, P, or LAS, and certainly no ALADDIN! I don't get it. If they are so upset by the lack of profit from their I-Max releases, you think they'd only promote it further, not exclude it from their "most popular" movie! I mean it's not like they have any bigger released coming out before the years end, unless you count Pirates and Nemo, which I had completely forgoten until just now, so maybe there is hope it will be on one of them. Maybe Aladdin is on there but you need to find it, like on the opening menu with play, and set up, they usually have "Sneek Peeks, where they feature more previews, than were shown at the beginning.
