Well, it's the ambition of the project. And me being me, I know just because people do not reply does not mean they are not reading. Trust me, it is read and as time and movies wear on, more comments will come in. That's the nature of the beast. As for me... I just don't know if I want to push on wi...

Oh, no way could I do it without breaks. It would take forever. Plus I have college classes to take. Besides, everything, even Mickey Mouse, needs to be taken in small doses. One other thing to consider adding to the run is the Wal Disney TV series. I have a couple of episodes taped off Vault Disney...

I'm pretty disappointed too. I hope that Disney finishes Donald in some form, but what really hurts is our best chance of ever getting something like Song of the South on DVD is gone as well. For my money, I'm now of the opinion that we have to start putting the screws to Disney on the Legacy collec...

Disney: From Then to Now

OK, this may be either the craziest thing ever tried or at least the most ambitious: I know people have tried watching the Disney animated classics from beginning to end and that's really impressive, given all the movies there are. But I'm going to try and take it one step farther. Why not try and w...

Well, here's a thought... If the Treasures line is heading into the sunset, would Disney consider using the Legacy collection for stuff like the Educational shorts? Maybe even for Zorro or finishing up Elfago Baga and Swamp Fox? Either way, I did in fact get all EIGHT under my tree for Christmas and...

Wondering about Your Host, Walt Disney Treasure... I seem to recall a World of Disney special centered around the '64 World's Fair. What about that one for inclusion?

Well, see, I for one am very torn about these. I fear double dipping, but I don't know if we'll get stuff like Ferdinard etc. on the Treasures. Disney is making so hard to shop these days, I almost don't want to buy anything but the core movies. See, that's not good!

Well, we "know" from the Dave Smith comment last week that the Disney Legends Treasure this time around will be Swamp Fox. SO... DD 2 Disney Legends: Swamp Fox Spin and Marty Disney Rarities I'm actually curious to see what will be on the Rarities. Could we see some Alice shorts? Maybe eve...

Well, were I a betting man, here are the "safe" bets for December: Donald V2 Disney Heroes: Swamp Fox Call the True Life Adventures a possible. They were supposed to come out in the last wave but were delayed. The question now is will it be three or four? If four, what would number four be...

Right, none of this is confirmed by the Studio yet. The only bit we have is Dave Smith telling us there will be a Disney Heroes Treasure and Swamp Fox will be on it. Past that, and whatever additional Treasures there are in this wave, your guess is as good as mine.

I was thinking about Gallagher myself not long after the last post and it occured to me: let us assume there will be a Treasure for each "land" in Disneyland. We've already done Tomorrowland, so a Main Street USA set might include Gallagher, much like an Adventureland might cover the TLA. ...

Swamp Fox, Baca, maybe even Gallagher if they streach a bit, but I think Zorro and the much hoped for Texas John Slaughter are unlikely. They're just WAY too long with too much material to be a Treasure. We'd be getting volumes for YEARS if they decided to do it that way.

Since dizfan made the post, I'll follow up. I was there also last night and what prompted Dave's info about the Treasures was a question about Swamp Fox. Dave did mention Swamp Fox would be on the Treasure. The question now is will the entire Treasure be Swamp Fox or will it be a selection of episod...

Well, the suggestion that has come up a few times is combining Chip 'n' Dale with Figaro, maybe even Humphrey the Bear to help pad out the set. Thoughts on that?

Can't imagine True Life Adventures coming out so late in the cycle. Last I heard, it was supposed to come out in this last wave, but was pulled at the last minute. For my money, the next wave will for sure have Donald 2, maybe True Life Adventures. I'd KILL for Silly Symphonies 2, but I just don't k...

Sign me up for wanting a Treasure of these. I've never had the opportunity to watch them in any form and they do sound appealing! Then again, now that I think about it, Disney NEVER made anything boring in Walt's lifetime.

Well, as a completist, I'm excited about all of the Treasures coming in December. Pluto will be excellent and go a long way to plugging the gaps in my shorts collection. Couldn't be MORE excited about MM in BW Vol. 2 since that's the really rare and rather controversial stuff. True-Life Adventures? ...

Well, I'm more than willing to eat crow and words if there is an MMC Treasure this Christmas. I want one too, believe me. Just been a bit pessimistic about it due to previous issues. But hey, more than happy to be wrong!

Bluntly, some of the Mousketeers wanted residuals for their apperance on the DVD, Disney didn't want to pay, so snip-snip. This is also why the MMC Treasure is unlikely.

Isn't greed wonderful? :P

Strange you should mention it, but yes, there were commercials during the opening day broadcast for Disneyland, including for Swift meat products and for the Nash Wrangler, both proud sponsers of Disneyland. They are not on the DVD but as a CM at Disneyland, I have seen them on the Cast TV broadcast...
