What is it with these remakes and costuming? 9 times out of 10 the costumes suck. https://i.imgur.com/HBf621c.jpg Source : https://www.reddit.com/r/Tangled/comments/1van9ag/spoiler_teagan_croft_as_rapunzel/ Really? Because I think this looks quite good, and very loyal to the original movie, same wi...

I think "Tangled" could have some legs up on this remake (not knowing basically anything about the film's creative direction at this time), but the failure of this movie also represents an added barrier it'll have to clear. The difference between 10 years and 17 years is not insubstantial...

I don't feel either way about it really. Moana isn't one of my favorites, I had no intention of seeing it in theaters like I would things like Mermaid, B&tB, or a hypothetical Frozen or Hercules remake. The original was always a bit dull for me; I don't hate it, just have never had any exciteme...

Disney Duster wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2026 10:44 pm I am quite mad about stuff Zachary has said and done but I would be ok with him being the king. However, Disney probably shouldn’t do it to avoid problems.

What exactly did he say or do?

I think AI poses a legitimate risk to the artistic culture, among other things, but I'll also agree that it has kind of become a buzzword online and is often divorced from observable reality just to make noise. That hasn't been a point I've noticed in this forum's reaction to this movie. Even as I'...

I just came back from the theater. I read the art book, so I knew about spoilers and not much surprised me, but the execution was great. I loved this movie. I laughed (a lot) and cried (a lot) and I absolutely loved Bonnie and Blaze and the focus on Jessie. I loved all the Buzzes. So much. Cry-leve...

I would say they look similar but not an exact rip off or even copy and paste. It’s like as state above, there are actually differences if you look close enough

Vlad wrote: ↑Thu Sep 25, 2025 4:27 amHere's the 1958 comic strip adaptation. Sorry, the pictures are not in the correct order, even if I uploaded them correctly. And some of them are doubles.

The comic adaptation was released before the movie?!

Either way, it’s from the people who made the chip and Dale reference Rangers movie. and like my best friend has said, the movie feels like it’s written and made by people who don’t understand Disney at all. So unless they change the creative team, whether it’s man or woman, no thank you.

Disappointing. The cinematography for both Wicked and In the Heights was terrible. I hope the costumes are like Cinderella's and not Snow White's. If I may ask, do you think the cinematography is one of the many reasons why wicked sucks? Because one of the many reasons why it does for me is because...

If I may ask, what are your guys‘s thoughts compared to the Harry Potter trailer on this? Because I personally find that that looks way more like AI slop than Moana here which actually looks more than perfectly fine, it’s only real issue being that it’s too shot for shot like the original, but aesth...

I did not expect to like this, damn (they got me again) The promoting for this film did not intrigue me in any way. I felt the designs looked way too cheap at first. Similarly to The Mediocre Dinosaur film, but at least they made the smart move to adapt the appearances of the animals between the tw...

It actually has the main protagonist murder another character and it's played for laughs.

Is that a bad thing per se?

What are some "nightmare fuel" sequences; particularly from the older animated classics that left the biggest impact on you in some form; whether it was your favorite scene, it traumatized you or maybe both? Note, I'm referring to frightening or disturbing moments, not just upsetting in a...

The only one I hated was 3. 4 was quite bland though. I loved 1, 2, and 5. At least 5 had a good ending, but it's such a shame 6 isn't happening. I was really looking forward to the character reunion. Can't say I'd have interest in a remake. This is the sixth movie? They are continuing. They’re jus...

How do you mean? Because The series was always meant to be told visually. If you watch the DVD special features, the author stated that he always plan on having this series be a movie, but literally did not have the money. For the record, I actually hate these books and know that the author cannot ...
