New Disney Stamps

Post by MissV327 »

Does anyone know if the "Art of Celebration" Disney stamps will be at post offices everywhere or are they only going to be available in California? I'm talking about the ones with Alice in Wonderland, Snow White, Ariel from the Little Mermaid and Mickey.

I did a quick google search on these (very cute, by the way!!) and it sounds as if they will be nationwide, just as the "Art of Disney: Friendship" stamps were.

On the offical issue ceremony of "Art of Disney: Celebration"- June 30th: http://www.usps.com/communications/news ... disney.htm

Also, it sounds as if a famous Disney couples collection is in the works!!! I'm excited for that. Maybe for V-Day? Who knows!

Edited to add: Looked a little further... the "Art of Disney: Romance" is the name of the couples set and it is due out "sometime in 2006."

The issue city of the Celebration stamps is Annaheim, CA- this doesn't mean that they are only available there. For instance, the Ronald Reagan stamps were issued in Simi Valley, CA but are available everywhere.

Hope this helped!!

Thanks for the help. I'll be sure to pick some up at the post office when they come out this Thursday. I wonder if you can buy just 4 at a time or if you have to buy a whole sheet (like the ones with Bambi and the Lion King that were released earlier. I guess I'll find out on Thursday. Personally, I like these new ones better. I love the Little Mermaid! :)

From what I've read they come in sheets of 20.

Cool. :) I did some more research on other stamps that are coming out and apparently The Muppets are going to have their own stamps! I especially like the one with Kermit and The Swedish Chef! He's the best!
