Just out of pure interest is the ratings sticker at the bottom of this DVD on the Australian DVDs and Videos. I'm just really wondering if they're put on in Australia or if when they get to New Zealand they go through and put them on.

Okay, thanks. Obviously, our government requires each release to be checked and certified to a different standard, which in a way is kind of redundant in a way, being the fact that they've already been rated in Australia.
Plus, I don't like those ugly stickers on my covers (they actually stick them on the cover art, not the case ).

Actually, while we're on the subject on the film board ratings system, the Office of Film and Literature Classification in Australia has modified the style of how our ratings will now look.
The Australian version of Home Improvement, The complete 1st season has this new design. See below.
Thats what I liked about our system, they were non-intrusive on the cover. That's going to totoaly wreck them... Imagine how Fatasia would look with that!
It's too much of a hassle, I only do that with OOP DVD's.
Honestly, one of the excuses for the new System was 'People Found Ratings Hard To Read Against The Background'... Could they just of regulated it so manufacturors chose the right colors? I've seen Black On Navy Blue sometimes...

That's probably why they put the stickers on in New Zealand. Though Hot Shots had a M rating and they stuck a PG sticker on it.
