Re: While we're talking about Disney's musicals...rank them!
Just FYI - You've got these out of order up there (I mean, obviously, in the first post you were just trying to list them for us.)MovieMusicals.net wrote:Rank in order of your favorite:

The correct chronological order is:
A) The Little Mermaid (1989)
B) Beauty and the Beast (1991)
C) Aladdin (1992)
D) The Lion King (1994)'
E) Pocahontas (1995)
F) The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996)
G) Hercules (1997)
H) Mulan (1998)
As for ranking them -- Aladdin is tops on my list, but I can't rank the others. They are all vety personal films for me, I grew up on them; they are so close to each other that seperating them into an order is difficult.

Well I'm not chinese, I really like how Mulan follows alot of the Chinese traditions! I think Chinese would actually like it. And it isn't racist like Pocahontas.Alan wrote:Is there a reason Mulan is ranked so low? I'm Chineseand thought it was a good movie
I want to know why Hucnhback is rated so high though!

Shouldn't the topic title be more specific like Rate the Modern Disney Musicals or the Post Walt Era Disney Musicals?
Ummm...this is way too hard for me since I like most of them equally. Usually if I watch one of them again, I start to love them even more. I guess the easiest way for me to put it is:
1. The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Pocahontas, Mulan (tie)
2. Aladdin, The Lion King (tie)
3. Hercules
EDIT: Forgot about Hercules!

I agree that it's a good movie but the songs weren't as good as the ones in the other movies. I'm chinese too.Alan wrote:Is there a reason Mulan is ranked so low? I'm Chineseand thought it was a good movie
I don't know about the others but I think Hunchback had a brilliant soundtrack.......with the exception to "A Guy Like You."I want to know why Hucnhback is rated so high though!
