Disney movie posters?

Post by MovieMusicals.net »

I'm trying to find a source of Disney movie posters.

Let me explain:

I'm not looking to purchase, I'm looking for a source of official Disney movie posters, to include teaser posters AND theatrical posters - all versions, and it'd be nice to have foreign ones as well.

I've tried Art.com and MovieGoods.com and may retailers, no luck. They don't have all films and/or all poster versions.

Anyone have a source?

Thanks!

This site has Disney movie posters from the past decade:

http://www.impawards.com/

This site has Disney movie posters for every film, but it's in Japanese (the links, not the posters), so you'll have to know your Disney animated feature numbers to know where to go:

YOu could try google, but I don't know if they translate Chinese sites.

This picture is freaking awesome!!!

If you browse around the links and look at your bottom toolbar to show the actual hyperlink, you can try and guess what some of the links lead to from the abbreviations.

I think someone posted this before, but this link is so AWESOME!

That's a wicked site! I saw it before but i still love it! ive been doing some more custom deisgns and i found google images is a good idea. if you type in simple terms like "Beauty beast" instead of "beauty and the beast" or "little mermaid" without the "the" more results come up and if its large images youre looking for, you can filter your search results for that too... :)

Trust me, I know how to use a search engine. ;-)

But it would be very time consuming to search EVERY film seperately.

And that Chinese site didn't even have EVERYTHING, as great as was.

That's why I also linked to impawards.com. It has every Disney movie poster from The Fox and the Hound onward in higher quality than the Chinese site (and a few films from before Fox and the Hound such as Robin Hood and The Rescuers).

I used Altavista's web page translator, but Chinese translated into English doesn't make very much sense, especially done by a computer. I know sometimes foreign titles of the movies are a lot different (like some countries call Pocahontas, "When Two Worlds Meet" and Home on the Range "Not Even If the Cow Coughs"...lol, there is a thread about all this in the International forum...ETA: Found it: http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/vie ... ght=titles).

I think the translator is translating TOO literally. For example, some are more literal or more silly :lol: than others:

Pinnochio = Puppet fortuitous encounter

Dumbo = Small elephant

The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad = The Iraqi old small toad is big

Cinderella = The Immortal Shoe is Wonderful

Lady and the Tramp = Young lady hoodlum

Sleeping Beauty = Rests the beautiful woman

The Sword in the Stone = Shi Zhong?

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh = Young Xiong Nepal :? :lol:

The Black Cauldron = The black god is wonderful

Rescuers Down Under = Resues young heroic Australia

Beauty and the Beast = The beautiful woman is wild rotfl

Pocahontas = center is wonderful :?

Hunchback of Notre Dame = odd person

Hercules = Strongman

Mulan = Flowers and Trees ( :? what??)

Tarzan = Taishan

Emperor's New Groove = Loses emperor

Home on the Range = The cowherd grazes
