"That's So Raven" Breaks 65 Episode Barrier!!!

Post by AwallaceUNC »

The Hollywood Reporter reports today that "That's So Raven" has been picked up by the Disney Channel for a full fourth season, making it the first Disney Channel Original Series to pass 65 episodes and the first to reach 100. Raven will also take on a new role in the series: producer.

The series will also see a movie in 2007, presumably to serve as a finale. It will be titled Raven and is beginning production soon from the sound of it.

Big news! Source: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr/te ... 1000966789

The one Disney Channel show I really don't need to see any more of... Okay, actually more "The Proud Family" might be worse. But even if many of the channel's shows use the same formula with a different setting/premise, "That's So Raven" just comes across as obnoxious and unfunny to me. But that's just one man's opinion!

This is somewhat good news in my mind. I like the fact that they are making a DCOS over 65 episodes. I would like to see newer episodes because the more recent ones are getting rediculous, but the new, new ones aren't that bad. But, the movie, the tile is Raven. Just Raven? Come on!

Well this is good news, I don't particularly care for the show myself nut it's good news that the 65 episode rule has gone out the window! Hopefully we will see this with other shows! Just a shame it wasn't Kim Possible that got expanded first! :(

I thought that Kim Possible was popular enough to break the 65 episode rule. Why did That's so Raven break this rule?

It's not the greatest show, but I think it's funny enough. Definitely not the first show to deserve a 4th season or have enough popularity to make one reasonable. I'm guessing this is the first time that a popular show's cast has been willing to continue beyond 65, or Disney has just decided to change their policy. Either way, it's good news that this option is now on the table for future series.

Really? Did she say that?

Well she really didn't say, "I don't like Disney" but one time I read an article at Mice Chat. She was doing some singing show at California Adventure and before the show started she was answering questions from the audience. And one person asked, "What's your favorite ride?" and she replied, "Where? Because I liked Six Flags better than Disney World here. Because c'mon I'm a teenager, I'm going to Six Flags!"

I mentioned this story on this site a couple times so I'm sorry if your tired of hearing it but there are two things that really bother me:

1. She confuses California Adventure to Disney World!

2. She liked Six Flags better than Disney World! Another

3. Couldn't she at least pretend she works for Disney I mean saying you like Six Flags better while your at a Disney park is very bad buissness.

In fact it's the only time I think I can say, "Too bad Eisner wasn't there!"

Luke - thats two men's opinions.

Alice - no Disney owns all rights to Raven. They bought her fair and square from Bill Cosby.

Yea, with Lizzie out, Disney made Raven the biggest thing on the Disney channel. And they succeeded! I'm not a fan of the show, but I did find some episodes to be funny!

Oh, T/P fan, leave the Raven alone! :p She's making money for Disney and that's all that matters, man. 8)

You go girl! Raven is nobodys puppet! She is paid to "act & sing" not sell tickets to the park.

Wow! This is wonderful news! I am like one of the biggest fans of the Disney Channel and Raven here, and I am soooooooo excited for the possibilties of this show, now that it has become part of Disney history!I've actually known since the beginning of the year that the series was extending it's third season to a total of 78 episodes, rather than 65, but I didn't think that it would surpass that! I honestly didn't think that That's So Raven would reach anything like this, and I supected that it would have a movie, as it has been rumoured on the now shut down site called TV Tome. Is it going to be a DCOM or shown in theathers, ala The Lizzie MvGuire Movie? I actually think that shows like Raven and Lizzie take on a whole different atmosphere when they do a theaterical movie, and I am really hoping that Raven does. I want to see Raven with some better quality!
But where is the other biggest Disney Channel fan here? Where is Sofa King381222?

Personally, I like the show, and am excited for the movie.

I also cannot wait to see what Raven can/will do as a producer.

Im here! LoL! I am so happy at this! Not two days ago I sent an email to Disney about my suggestions for a Raven movie and/or Raven DVDs. I am so happy. There were a couple of episodes which I hated (Cheese, ugh......) but more over there are more good episodes than bad episodes. This series has actually grown on me. (partly, b/c of my sister watching it 24/7) Im am relatively sure that this will not be a DCOM, and that it will be a Theatrical Film. I hope they do a good job on it (We dont want another fiasco like Lizzie McGuire movie) I am so happy for all Raven fans, and for Raven, and all the cast and crew of the show!

 :thumb: :thumb: CONGRATULATIONS   :thumb: :thumb:

p.s. Thanks James. Other Biggest Disney Channel Fan. What an Honor! GO DISNEY CHANNEL!!!
We need season sets of all DCOSs and all DCOMs on DVD! And Better Cover Art!
