Ultimate Animated Film SURVIVOR Round 36 *CLOSED*

Post by ichabod »

Hello!

Welcome to the Ultimate Animated Film SURVIVOR Round 36.

This is a contest in which we aim to find out what UD members think is the greatest animated film ever made. All films are welcome as long as they are animated, be they theatrical, direct to video, made for TV, traditional, CGI or stop motion.

Everyone is welcome! You do not need to have voted in previous rounds.

Please note if you do not have 50 posts, your vote will not be counted.

Rules are simple. 1 film will leave and not make it through to the next round, there are 2 days for voting with every round.

We are voting for the films we like least!

We each have 1 vote! You vote for 1 film!

Please make your votes in bold if making a long post which mentions more than one film to avoid confusion.

Happy voting!

FANTASIA
GRAVE OF THE FIREFLIES
HERCULES
MULAN
POCAHONTAS
THE PRINCE OF EGYPT

Voting closes Thursday! 16/06/05 3:00 PM (EST)

Since Pocahontas will most likely leave this time, I choose it.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I don't understand what you mean. Pocahontas is underrated at best. Normally, people just see it as historically inaccurate and the movie that brought Disney down. People don't usually see Pocahontas for the movie it is because of these reasons.

I agree with you, but I do want to point out that Pochantas really shouldn't have gotten this far. I'm not saying it's a bad film or that I hate it or anything, but the Top Ten? :? Come on, people.

I was surprised by this to. I didn't join the forums early enough to see rounds 1 through forty-something, so were the fab-four and Walt's first 5 movies on here? I can't imagine those being eliminated before the choices we have now.

Why did you vote off my favorite on that list! That's it I'm voting of Grave Of The Firefiles! Hopfully people will join me and vote this film off!
OK, so basically you wanted/expected things to turn out like this: You wanted YOUR favorite to win. Gee, I think that's the same strategy as everyone here.

There was a group of members who realized early on that out of the 200 movies on the original list, most likely the Fab Four and Walt's original 5 and the other Disney classics of the 50's-60's Golden era would probably end up at the top. So early on, they decided to take them out when it only required three votes to evict. I too, didn't join the game until half-way, but I think in retrospect, this was a good strategy. After all, this is Survivor, and not a countdown of favorites. Yeah, I have questions about half of the six still here, but it's a good mix of the active players in the animation industry today. :)

Why? There's like five or six votes against it right now compared to the three for Hercules and the one for Fireflies.

Well it's like this:

The World: Pocahontas is disappointing and gets 1000's of negative reviews!

UD: Extremly Overrated! Especially the music!
