Spice Girls fans?

Post by James »

Is there any Spice Girls fans out there at all? It's just I watched my video tape of Spice Girls-Live in Instanbul, and it got me wondering if there is any fans of them who are also Disney fanatics. So, is there? I'm also hoping for a DVD of them and there tours/videos to come out when Live Aid 2 is aired, and they reunite.

Well back in the day I was the hugest Spice Girls fan ever! There was literally not a square inch of my room that was not covered with a poster of them, even the ceiling!

I had, and still do (probably up in the attic somewhere) have all of the singles and albums, literally!!!

I had every bit of official merchandise there was from rulers, to mugs to pencil cases. Even Spiceworld the movie!

Although I lost interest when they began to quiet around 1999/2000.

Anyway, I'm not really bothered by them know, although I do feel they are badly treated by the press, they are given a hard time about their solo careers, even though all of them (except Posh) have had solo number ones and some of their solo stuff is actually quite good (excapet Posh ;))

There is apparntly going to be a best of album next year because it is the 10th anniversary, and there were rumours of a reunion for the G8 concerts, but I think that is all they were rumours.

I am now going to hang my head in shame now! ;)

Oh dear, the Spice Girls are one of my guilty pleasures. I actually have their movie on video and, shockingly, I find it mildly enjoyable.

I liked 1 or two songs.. Never a fan really...

They are reuniting for live 8 huh? I can't say I'm looking forward to this concert (I live in Philadelphia), Reading in the paper today, it's going to be a huge chaotic mess in downtown Philadelphia.. Thankfully I have a wonderful cabin in the mountains I can escape to while the city buries itself :-)

Nobody's asking you to leave. It would just be nice to see you put a bit more thought into your posts. Posting one-liners to boost post counts is not a good way to gain respect in the community, and is unfair to the members who have been here a long time but have lower post counts because they post only when they have something to say that will add to the conversation.

"If you wanna be my lover, gotta get with my friends, make it last forever, friendship never ends"

That song, as played out as it is today, is still in my head. And I do believe that was the only decent song they came up with. I still hear people in school singing it and I just make fun of them; when I'm the one who still remembers it

Never WAS a Spice Girls fan but some of them were kinda cute, it's a shame each one of them got either pregnat or married and split up.

Ok, I admit to once being a huge fan. Me and my cousins would play the movie over and over and make scrap books of them. But you didn't hear it from me  .
