Sorry, Luke, for reinstating this question but I'm still very interested in knowing what process is involved with writing a review. Like, how do you pick which one to write first? How do you get the DVDs earlier than they are actually released? And how do pick who is going to write them?
Sorry!!!!!I know that you have a lot of things to do including the latest countdown! Please, don't hurry the answer!

Re:DVD Reviewing
Some theories on how the reviews come earlier than released are presented here. Pick whichever one works best for you.
It's usually not too hard to prioritize, based on release date, what has come in, and what people are most interested in. In general, it's easier and cheaper for me to review things myself, and I highly enjoy doing them. But the occassional one from someone else adds a different perspective and writing style, which is rather welcome, and it ensures that you're not just getting my writing and views all the time. Aaron has been doing a number of reviews since the beginning of the year, and I think they've really added something new and special this site. And Lindsay is a bit of a Miyazaki aficianado, which shows in her coverage of his two films that were released this year.
