Tarzan 2-disc UK edition

Post by eap_44 »

hi guys,

i have a question for you. i'm planning to buy this UK-version of Tarzan from Amazon UK. here are my questions:

- will they ship to canada?
- will this dvd release all in english or in different language?

i know this is R2 coding and i have a multi-region dvd player so no plem with that. well in general i just want to know if this UK-release is just like R1 except that it is coded in R2 in terms of the actual Tarzan movie, features, etc.

Any problems that I might encounter when I purchase this UK release and played here in Canada?

I think the demo songs are missing, but other than that it should be the same. I believe Amazon.co.uk does ship to Canada. :)

Yes the will ship to Canada,

However I would get it from <a href="http://www.sendit.com/video/item/700000 ... >Sendit</a> instead because:
- Cheaper price
- price displayed is price you pay, not VAT added at checkout like at Amazon UK
- Cheaper postage charge to Canada only £1.60
- More reliable service, I find that Amazon UK are a terrible retailer!
- will this dvd release all in english or in different language?

Everything is in English on the cover and DVD.

Langauges: English/Spanish/Portuguese/Catalan

Subtitles: English/English for the hearing impaired/Spanish/Portuguese

I'm not 100% sure what you mean, but... The UK Tarzan is all in R2. It has all the bonus features that were on the R1 CE and a couple of extra new ones.

I Don't see why there should be.

Well it certainly looks as though Tarzan is getting a bit more of a push than previous 2 disc SE's like Mulan, Pocahontas and Mary Poppins. I've seen numerous TV introductions and also after visiting town today I noticed that McDonalds has a happy meal tie in, so hopefully this will lead to good DVD sales!

Is it the real English set of Disney DVDs that sells CD-Wow ? Because last Jan., I ordered throught them the complete 3rd season of ER and I received a weird swedish or whatever country box set instead of the original real English digipack. Plus, one of the dsic was unreadable. So I sent it back and got refunded. :)
Chandler (to Phoebe, over the phone) : Listen, Joey isn't gonna be here tonight so why don't you come over and I'll let you uh.. feel my bicep; or maybe more...

Yeh i know i've seen lately that Alice In Wonderland on CD-WOW arent the actual R2 release they are an R2&R4 release and have a slightly different cover. But it does seem that the Tarzan release is the actual release. Just look out when buying a disney dvd as sometimes they can say Region 2 & 4. Hope that made sense....

Its the same with the Friends series sets on CD WOW they are Region 2 & 4 and are slightly different.

Whilst we're on the topic of Tarzan, does the bonus come in an easy find system or is it like on an old Disney disc?

EasyFind is where they have standardised menu options and icons. For example:

Music and More
Backstage Disney
Deleted Scenes

etc

Each menu options also has it's own icon. Music and More has a musical note for example.

With CD-WOW, you may not get the UK disc. You'll just get a R2 PAL disc with an English soundtrack and subtitles.

As Netty points out, there are problems with CD WOW, I still suggest that Sendit is the best bet for you. See my other post for a link.

And a Disneypedia. And if you have the UK brown cover, all the galleries and commentary are new (but they were on the US CE).

i'm still debating which one should i buy:

Region 2 PAL --> http://www9.cd-wow.com/detail_results_2 ... at=region2 UK15.99 + free shipping worldwide or http://www.sendit.com/video/item/7000000100222UK15.99 + UK1.6 shipping = UK17.59

another one is this:

Region 3 NTSC --> http://www9.cd-wow.com/detail_results_2 ... code=18763 UK10.99 + UK1.6 shipping = UK12.59 I just don't if the cover (front and back) are all written in English.

please help me decide where to buy my Tarzan DVD. all i want is to make sure that the cover and disc are written in english just to look like R1 version. :?
