Disney Sacred Planet? Where did it come from? Is it worth $?

I was at Wal-Mart today and saw a movie called Sacred Planet by Disney, well, more a documentary then anything. I read the back and it looked good, but is it worth the cash? It's only $14, so not a big gamble. But is it something totally new? Was it in theaters? Is there a storyline?
