I still collect old Disney VHS titles alongside DVD (I'm not one of those people who now sneers at the videotape).
Trawling the ex-rental sections of video stores is a real hobby and just recently I found great clamshell editions of "Young Again", "Go For Broke (aka Save the Dog)" and "Emil and the Detectives".
I love watching all the trailers and introductions on the Disney VHS versions. They take me back to my childhood. Anyone else like them?
anyone still collect Disney VHS?

Everyone who posted on <a href="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/vie ... 4">here</a> has their Disney VHS Collections.
I do agree with you that watching the movie&trailers on the VHS brings you back to your childhood! I feel that way too! Which is why I don't want to throw or toss out the VHS, even if they aren't used as much.
They're treasures!
But I don't collect VHS anymore ever since DVD started.
I only keep the VHS we already have and sometimes watch them (such as the Ducktales movie...)

R[APRIL.23]K: High School SweetheartsWhile I still have Disney movies on VHS,and still watch them for nostalgia value(I'm especially happy I have a copy of The Little Mermaid, since it won't be out on DVD until fall 2006),I only collect Disney DVDs now...

I still have my Disney vhs copies, I've gotten rid of two vhs tapes as I was collecting them on dvd. But now I have decided to keep my vhs copies for keepsakes. I only replace them if a special edition comes out. I've gotten some of my Disney vhs tapes used and they've still lasted a long time. I won't be replacing my vhs tapes unless they get wrecked.
I still own my old VHS copies that my mom purchased since I can remember. We have VHS/DVD players but we're converting to DVDs. I usually wait for the Platinum Editions when it comes to Disney when I purchase the DVDs. But as for non-Disney movies? I tend to buy a DVD copy.
