Gummi Bears on DVD

Post by MinnieMe »

I've seen the whole set of 65 episodes on ebay... but here it says that it has never been released. Are these sets that people just made and are selling?

I guess they could be like any other bootleg... I just didn't know where they would get all the episodes...

Has anyone ever bought something like this on ebay before?

Ok so I think I figured out that they copied them from VHS...

but still wondering if anyone has bought something like this before and if it would be worth it (or if the quality would be just too bad). I've never seen a DVD that had been copied from a VHS.

Picture quality is going to depend on the quality of the VHS (if that's where they got it from, and assuming they don't touch it up digitally but I doubt they'd do that), as well as what method they used to get it from VHS to DVD. All in all, though, the very best you can expect is new VHS quality, but you can also reasonably expect something poorer than that. I would personally advise just holding out until a legit DVD is released. C'mon, Disney!

My cousin bought one for the hell of it. He missed Gummi Bears and thought, "Why not. It's only $15.00!" Now it looks like EBAY sellers doubled the price!

Eh, the quality's not great, but it's watchable. It's a show from the 1980s so of course they had to videotape it and after a few years...the quality turns...bad. But I was mighty impressed with the video to DVD transfer! :o

So a tip: It's not worth the money even if you miss the GUMMI BEARS very much (Trust me; I miss them too! I grew up watching them. But hell no would I spend money on a bootleg. *see siggy. ;)) Someday, someday...Disney will hear our plea and put them on DVD! :)

I have gotten the Gummi Bears, Ducktales, and Chip and Dale's on ebay the sets are not worth the going rates they are just cheap transfers from old VHS tapes to VCD. I really look forward to when Disney releases the sets to DVD.

AHHHH! The Wuzzles! Also a favorite of mine- right up there with Gummi Bears! I decided not to go for any on ebay and just wait until Disney releases them :::crosses fingers:::
There were only a few sets and the ones that weren't being sold by a sketchy seller were going for more than I would pay for a crappy VHS copy. One seller had his feedback private and an 88% feedback rating! OMG!!! Definitely not ordering from him!

DO NOT BUY THEM! they suck... I almost bought them but after speaking to a friend i got some tips on how these people on e-bay get this video to sell on dvds. Theyre called torrents.... in other words "downloads" and anyone can get them for free on the internet the same way these people on e-bay do.

Same with ducktales series, rescue rangers etc etc...
