Moving, Please help

Post by poco »

Hey all,

I've accepted a job and am moving. Unfortunately I am moving away from any stores that will carry the new and "hard to find" Disney DVDs (meaning no Best Buy anymore, no good bookstores like Borders...Fye or anything of the sort). It's going to be a drive for me to get DVDs I want, unless the local Wal-mart (mind you, not a super wal-mart) will get them.

WHat I am needing from y'all is a list of DVDs I am going to have to get, or better yet, what movies I am going to have to ask my parental units to get when they go to the city (Sams, Best Buy). I've already informed them they have to go to Sam's or anywhere on Dec 2 to get the four tins, which they have agreed to put under the Christmas tree. (NOW the hard part is getting them on or VERY near the date).

I am picking up Sleeping Beauty before my move. Anything after Sept 10 I am going to need your help with.

I've got the 4 tins, Holes, Lion King, Nemo, Escape, and Return to Witch Mountain on my list.

I know I can pick up some of the wide mass produced movies myself at Wal-mart such as Lion King and Nemo. However, what I am needing specifically from y'all is what movies probably won't show up in a small town that I am going to have to let my parents get?

I hope you see my problem...it's just i don't know what I will be able to find locally....How "easy" will it be to find Escape and Return to Witch Mountain? I know Tins would be impossible.

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP

Only thing I can think of that might not be widely available is Frank and Ollie, but I'm not sure if you're interested in that. All the other worthwhile releases (besides the 9/2 titles, which you addressed) should be easily found.

you can also order them online from best buy.com i mean shipping and handling is probably less than if you put gas in your car and drove to the nearest store to you :D

I thought of that, however, you see, my parents when they would pick them up, would just put them under the Christmas tree and not charge me for the movies....and well, if I ordered them from Best Buy and paid shipping, it would be more expensive than FREE! 8)

Shipping is FREE...but the DVDs are not. Christmas Presents rock - I think I'm gonna bank on the "ER" First Season as turning up under the tree.

It's sad, but my mom had me go buy my own Christmas presents! So, I'm looking forward to Love Bug and Parent Trap, and I'll be asking my siblings to get me Apple Dumpling Gang. From there, things are going downhill... I'm $200 dollars in the hole after crunching the car yesterday morning  but life is good.

I forgot about ER First Season. Yes, definately that has to be added to the Christmas present list...that is probably going to be expensive. 60 or 70 dollars in my guess.

Actually, just $39.99 at Circuit City. Quite awesome for like 20 hours of content. 8)

No, no one. But I feel dumb it was my first. Oh well.

Well, I will probably not be on much any more, my parents think this is a waste of time. So bye for awhile!

Do they think being on the message board is a waste of time or just being online in general? Why do they know you are on here anyway?

Being online too much is what they think is a waste of time. Besides that, of course they know I'm on here, when I run around screaming "[INSERT here] is coming on DVD soon!" But anyway, I still hopefully will get on every once in awhile. It's too much fun to pass up.

I hate to say this, but after searching for a place to live today, I have found that to be in a safe place with a decent house/apartment... I am going to have to spend more than my projected budget allows =(

Not too bad, but will have to cut on some Disney DVDs that I really really want.

I can only afford one a month  (thank goodness the tins I am getting for CHristmas). thats 12 Disney movies a year. UGGGG

Needless to say, I can't choose. I just can't. Y'all are going to have to help me. I guess I will just do some polls, one for every month and yall are going to pick for me (out of the ones I really really really want). That way I have support.
