Regarding the news on the front page....

It says that Pom Poko is a Miyazaki film, but it is not. It was directed by Isao Takahata, Studio Ghibli's other "star" director, as was My Neighbors The Yamadas, Only Yesterday and Grave Of The Fireflies. Disney has the rights to release the first two, but I think another company still has the rights to GOTF in North America.

Yes Park Avenue or Central Avenue(or something like that) has the rights to GOTF and has put out an excellent edition for North American.

I believe this board uses Miyazaki and Ghibli interchangably for the Studio Ghibli films. Maybe not 100% correct but its what we have become accostomed to do.

And welcome.

You're both right. Disney has used "Miyazaki Wave #x" to describe the Studio Ghibli batches, and I've simply done the same at times. That's not very accurate though and I will correct it for clarification. Thanks for pointing out the error!
