He´s not dead, he´s alive cause CNN has just said that the Reuters ( News Agency) had said that he´s alive, and you can read the next news that i post, but is in Spanish cause I got it from a Mexican diary.

The CNN news channel, in English and Spanish, atributes agencies the presumed death of his Sancticity.

The Vatican hasn't confirmed the above.

On the information cables THE UNIVERSAL has access online, there's no mention, at this moment, of the Pope's death.

The informative wire from CNN indicates: Reuters informs that the Pope has died, Vatican isn't making any comments.

However, the CNN comentarist made the aclaration that they couldn't confirm the death of the Maximum Pontif

At 12:43 of this Thursday (8:43 PM Spain's time), the The World newspaper informed that Italian media, citing Vatican sources, said the the Pontif's heart still beats.

The online newspaper used the "Evening News" and "The Republic" as sources

According to the images transmitted on television, John Paul II's apartment lights are still on, located in front of Saint Peter's Square

I am not of the Catholic Religion, but I still have a great deal of respect for the man, for all the good he has done with the Catholic religion. I hope that he recovers quickly, and regains health enough to go on with his life. He truly is an awesome man.

The post wasn't meant to be disrespectful - if it was, it'd be far more obvious. As a "lapsed Catholic" (i.e. all of the guilt, none of the faith), I understand what he means etc etc.

However, the poor old guy is being dragged out on a semi-daily basis to perform duties that any other humane profession in the world would have let him retire from years ago. He's done god's work - let the poor dear rest!
