Inspector Gadget 2

Post by Teresa01 »

Was it just me or was Inspector gadget 2 rubbish. I loved the first one but i just couldn't stand the second one for some reason.i found it a bit too stupid and i prefered it when Matthew Broderick was inspector gadget.Does anybody else not like it?

I haven't seen it but I totally like the first one. From what I saw from the previews it did seem kind'a stupid.
I use to watch the cartoon Inspector Gadget when I was a kid. I wish I can find it again that show rocked.

I liked the first one quite a bit too. I think the reason most took fault with it is because it wasn't like the cartoon. I liked the tongue-in-cheek tone though and Matthew Broderick characters are always easy to root for. Once French Stewart took on the role and the sequel went the direct-to-video route, my interest went down, down, down.

And French Stewart was ideal as Gadget. I loved it! Matthew Broderick looked lost as Inspector Gadget in the first.

I don't like either one. It may be truer to the cartoon but I was so tainted by viewing the first one. Blech... both left a bad tatse. :P

it was much truer to the cartoon and i think there were some bits that made me laugh but i can't remember. The first one was better but it was almost an alternate universe Gadget

I liked both movies, but the first was my favorite. Matthew Broderick, Joely Fisher, and Rupert Everett were great in their respective roles, and D.L. Hughley had some great lines as the Gadgetmobile. I have to admit, though, that Cheri Oteri made me laugh the most with her portrayal of the Mayor. "Photo Op!!"
