Re: custom disney dvd covers

Daelex wrote:I was wondering if anyone is looking to replace their original, horrible, crappy dvd covers with a custom collection? anyone interested let me know.. these covers were designed by me for my personal collection and I wanted to share them with other disney freaks like myself. 8) this is a non profit deal, I do not sell my covers, I offer them all for free.

These covers are for true collectors, collectors that have every animated disney movie on dvd, like me :o)
welcome to the forum! (again, because i welcomed you on the "TRADE" section! :P)

Well here is some previews of my work, mind you I dont create the poster art that is used on my covers but I create everything else besides that, the template and everything else.. Some of these are designed after the traditional gold collection template but the template is a custom one I made. but a lot of these gold collection covers I did will be re designed in the near future when I get a chance. Right now I am focussing on platinum/special editions. There were no scans involved in any of these. I use the original artwork the studios use except I dont cut off the tops of their heads except in some cases where the poster had allready chopped off the top of their head...

heres a bunch of previews. THESE ARE NOT suitable for printing, these have been downsized. Dont mind some of the logos on some of them, I just havent updated the previews.

Hallo

Um.

On a scale of 1-10, I would give them a 9.8, some of them the colors are just making me sick to my stoumach, and the return of Jafar cover is nice, but the screen cap on the back just ain't my cup of tea, and also is that a screen cap from the dvd or the old video tape ? It looks more grainy than dvd? But they are very nice, great job.

OH...MY..GOSH!!! I love your covers! My favorites are

Aladdin #1
Aladdin #2
The Emperor's New Groove #1
Bambi
The Incredibles Elastigirl Version
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Pocahontas

I especially love the idea of having all of The Incredibles characters on separate covers, so you could pick your favorite (mine's Elastigirl :D ), but there should be one with all of them together, exactly like the A Bug's Life original VHS release. SUPER!! And welcome to the forum!!

**P.S.- I love the crack shot of Patcha! rotfl

LOL I use only high resolution material. all 300 dpi or better. I use the same stuff the stuios use.. hell I get it from bvhe.com (buena vista publicity site) I never use screen caps.

Well if anyone is interested I have done a cover for almost every single disney movie and if I havent done one yet it will be done eventually... these are just a few of what I have finished.

So yea if anyone is interested please PM me about obtaining these :D

Not only do you get to replace your originals but you will allways have a backup. Great for parrents with kids that like to destroy stuff...

hey dan pm me for the link to my website where you can see the whole showcase! on a good day I can pump out 2-3 covers a day especially if its for a trilogy or sequels. Since I made my own template it makes my custom disney cover making a lot less involved. But usually I like to spend the day on 1 cover alone. sometimes though when I have various artwork for the same movie I can just turn off some layers and drag in different artwork and so on.. hope that answers your question 8)
