Where to find the DVD's?

Post by sealightbreeze »

I was just wondering where everyone gets their Disney DVD'S from? I have a few, but not many. I have checked the local WalMart, Target, Suncoast, and Borders. But, none of these places has a lot of the Disney DVD'S, or the ones I need. :( Is there a place that has a lot of them? So, where does everyone get them? thanks! :)

Wowee!! Welcome to the forum sealightbreeze! :D :D

in answer to your question, I go lots of places to get my Disney DVDs!
- Best Buy
- Circuit City
- Wal-Mart
- Target
- Suncoast
- COSTCO!

and last but not least...
EBAY, when I trust the seller by pictures and feedback! 8)

Also, in the forum, there's a section called TRADE, you might wanna check that out by either posting the titles you are looking for or buying the titles that other members are selling!

Good luck!
hope you enjoy the UD forum too! :)

You can get 'em all at Amazon.com and when you use our Shop/Search (which lets you search Disney DVDs and more in four different countries), a portion of the sale goes to UD, with no cost to you.

Where to find the DVD's?

Post by LindaMYoung »

I like to get my Disney DVDs at Sam's Club, Costco, or BJs, where they are usually the least expensive. Usually when certain DVDs come out, WalMart has them as an unadvertised special the first week. When LION KING came out, Media Play had a 2/$30 Disney animation deal if one of the DVDs you bought was LION KING.

Most of the DVDs I order online I get from Deep Discount DVD. They have the best prices. I get my Region 2s from Amazon.uk, but wish Play.com shipped to the US!!!

Disney Store or disneydirect.com if there's a preorder

Best Buy/Wal-Mart for 1st week releases

Deep Discount DVD (www.deepdiscountdvd.com) for online orders

EBay/half.com for OOP stuff

My stores I go to get my DVDs...

Wal-Mart
Zellers
Best Buy
Futureshop
Sunrise
HMV
Musicworld
Cinema 1
CDPlus

I go anywhere but it never seems to be a place out of those 9.

If you can I suggest getting them online here at this site by clicking on the link Luke provided to help out.
I would do that but I don't buy online. For one, no credit card and for two, I enjoy going out to stores looking for DVDs.

Which DVDs do you need? If they are out of print ones (Beauty and the Beast, Snow White, Fantasia, Sleeping Beauty, Toy Story etc), I think that you may have to check E-Bay and Amazon Marketplace to see if there are copies there. Be careful though, only buy DVDs from sellers with little or no negative feedback and watch out for random sellers on EBay who are selling bootleg DVDs.

An out of print list can be found here:

I usually go to wal-mart, target, best buy, circuit city, suncoast, and disney store. Do you have a blockbuster video close by? You might want to check there. I've seen lots of OOP disney dvds there. You can also try Ebay but be VERY careful. Some of the Disney DVDs there are bootlegs.

D'oh! How could I miss Blockbuster! They're my main source for OOPs, they're very good about having them there, for sure

For those of you that mention BLOCKBUSTER...
do you have to be a member to buy DVDs?

if so, maybe i should consider renting movies before buying them blindly. ;)

I don't think you need a membership... That kinda limits the number of customers that buy their products.. :P

Yeah I know but the people who run it are good... they donated 15 million to the tsunami relif effort. :) I just usually go there to find some rare stuff since it seems like I find most of my rare finds there.

You don't need to be a member to buy DVDs at Blockbuster but if you want to rent them from Blockbuster then you need to be a member. That would be a stupid decision on Blockbuster's part if they decided that you needed to be a memeber to buy DVDs from them. I don't buy from them on a regular basis, only if they have something that I can't find anywhere else.
