Gigli?

Post by 2099net »

You know I never wanted to see this at all - regardless of the critical reviews but then I saw this poster:

See that quote in the poster?

"At one point Christopher Walken shows up, gassing on about ice cream, for no apparent reason".

This is now a must see film! :) I'll be getting the DVD. Seriously.

I don't understand how the guy who directed Midnight Run, perhaps the greatest action/comedy film of all time...could be behind the helm of this. Nonetheless, if the IMDb fanboys are taking aim at this, maybe it's worth checking out. ;)

Well I made the mistake of being interested in Glitter after all the critical bashing and (sadly, because I was hoping for a disaster :)) it was simply an unexceptional, average film.

Sometimes people just get it in for a film for little reason and others jump on the bandwagon.

I liked Martin Brest's Meet Joe Black which most other people seemed to have a violent disliking for...

Those quotes make me want to give this movie a chance, it sounds funny.

I thought that Meet Joe Black was okay... just a tad too long though for me.

I remember when critics said that "Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas" was an unwatchable film. Well, after I heard that I knew I had to see it. I loved it and bought the DVD! I doubt I will buy Gigli but if Christopher Walken shows up rambling for no reason, it might be worth seeing.

According to The Internet Movie Database (imdb.com), it's #1... at the bottom of the 100 worst films.

From Justin to Kelly is #2. The DVD From Justin to Kelly comes out tomorrow. Yay! :)

Hey, some fo my faves are on that list! :D
Weekend at Bernies II, Highlander II, Teen Wolf Too, all the Police Academy movies...Ok. Kidding on some of those.
I kinda dug Highlander.
Santa with Muscles has got me intrigued. Oh wait, it's Hulk Hogan.
I have to believe there is a worse movie that Gigli.
Smokey and the Bandit III ! Oh, wait. That DIDN'T have Burt Reynolds in it, did it? So it must be bad by default.

And if Christopher Walken is talking about ice cream - I'm there!
And why has Dreamcatcher been left off that list?

Oh my god!! :o

Who would put up this poster??? is this some kind of publicity stunt?! it's hysterical!

Oh.... and by the way.... all the movies in the bottom-100 IMDb list aren't really all that bad.... basically, what happens is that once a so-so movie comes out.... everybody gets all hyped up about how bad it was, and then since everybody's influenced from everybody... everybody gives it terrible ratings!!! and around and around it goes.

I don't understand why people hate this movie. Yeah, Ben and J-Lo are in the news every day for no reason but I loved the movie. Parts of it were kinda dull, but other parts were totally awesome. The Walken scene was among my favorite Walken scenes, same with Pacino, I love how they both over-act! All the people who hated this movie just hate the fact that Ben and J-Lo are starring in a movie together. They probably didn't even give it a descent chance. I saw it opening day with my buddy not even knowing what it was about and I was totally happy with the film. There was a crazy guy in the theater who didn't much care for Pacino and started shouted at the screen when he was on but beyond that, it was a good movie. I recomend it! Don't shun me...
