Bambi 2 Trailer (in English) - no joke!

Post by toonaspie »

It's in English with uh...I think that's either Dutch or German subtitles. It's small but watchable.

Your opinions please. And the for the love god, dont tell me someone posted this already cuz I checked through everything and I'm surprised no one has jumped to discover this trailer yet...not even animated-news.com has reported this yet and this came out on Saturday!

They are Dutch subtitles, it's on the new dvd/video section of disney.nl, it's the same trailer as appear on the Bambi dvd though.

Oh boy....Disney is f**ked.

Excuse my language, but the voices...with the exception of Patrick Stewart as Bambi's father, are making my ears bleed.

I think Mickey making love to Minnie sounds pretty good after watching this.

I'm some-what looking forward to this, but it isn't the same without the original voice-cast...

The voice of Bambi is the child who did the voice of Nemo, if you thought it sounded a bit fishy (sorry).

On the UK disc there is a 5 minute glimpse at the making of Bambi & The Great Prince Of The Forest.

The animation does look quite good and above the standard of the usual "straight to video" stuff.

The story is set just after Bambi's mother dies (hope I haven't spoilt the story of the first film for anyone) and, alledgedly, is based on notes that Walt made about how the father helps Bambi deal with his mother's death.

There's basically the same glimpses here as were on Bambi DVD concerning the sequel. It looks good, but nothing special. I don't like the voice of Bambi, they could have found someone better and more suitable to that part.
Anyway I will definitely see it when it comes.

Well...I'm not sure... but I'm not going to make up my mind before I see it. A lot of times I think I'm not going to like a movie, and then it ends up my favorite.

"a prince keeps composure" or some stuff like that, cracked me up. What complete cheesiness, this movie is going to be funny. I'll probably be laughing at it though. Maybe Disney will prove me wrong, here's hoping.

WOW!!! AWESOME!!!! I cant wait!! I love the trailer, it really showed alot! and I especially liked that song playing in the background. A lot of people say that they HATE the disney cheapquels, but I Like them. I like how they continue the story and legacy of the original. I wonder when the US is going to see a release?
We need season sets of all DCOSs and all DCOMs on DVD! And Better Cover Art!

They ruined the Great Prince by turning him into a Mufasa.

Don't you Mufasa fans jump me, I'm one too. But the Great Prince never looked like a dopey dad in the original.

Hmm... I'm excited to see it but also not keeping my expectations too high.

Although, I always thought of Bambi's dad to be a take-no-BS always-stay-in-charge type of guy...

All what I remember about him from the movie is the line "Get up".

But, again, am looking forward to seeing the prequel but am not setting up hopes too high. :-)

Noriel>Me too. I remember "Get up." and it went something like, "Your mother can't be with you anymore.". The thing is, he did seem like a hard and cold dad, but regardless, some bit of fatherly love came out of him somehow. You knew he did care. Afterall, he did raise him after that. And later, when Bambi was shot, he was right there. He was demanding for him to get up, because he knew Bambi could, even if Bambi didn't think so.
