Why did they have to cut it? I know that some kids actually did call the number, but still! Oh, well. Gives me a reason to keep my VHS.

Cut scene in The Santa Clause?
Every year at Christmas time, we watch The Santa Clause on VHS. Then, we got the DVD. While we were watching the DVD, I noticed that something was missing. Near the beginning of the movie, Charlie's mom tells Scott that they're going to be at Neil's parents' house and gives him a number if they need to reach them. Scott then says, "1-800-SPANK-ME? I know that number!" This scene was not on the DVD.
Why did they have to cut it? I know that some kids actually did call the number, but still! Oh, well. Gives me a reason to keep my VHS.
