Wider R2 Blackbeard?

Amazon.co.uk has listed a DVD of Blackbeard's Ghost among their upcoming releases:

My question is, do any of the esteemed forum members know if this is the same lousy pan&scan job they're flogging in the U.S, or might it be a new, glorious widescreen release?

Well the rest of Europe and Australia all got p+s so I think it will be the same! :(

I know that the dvd that we got here in America was not the greatest. I hope the UK release is better.
