Just off the top of my head, Toy Story won a special achievement award, as did Robin Williams' Aladdin performance, Finding Nemo won Best Animated Feature, Hayley Mills won a special award for Pollyanna, James Baskett did for Song of the South too.

Thanks for compiling the list! Of couse, besides the films, there are dozens of other Academy Awards won by Disney cartoon shorts. In fact, to this day, Walt holds the record for the man with most wins.

Darn! Sorry for forgetting those. I have no idea how I forgot Finding Nemo, but on oscar.com (Official Site) they do not recognize Special Achievements (I remembered Walt, obviously)..Thanks for the corrections

I don't guess Spirited Away should count, since it was only distributed by Disney.

Thank you- I just saw so many people asking about Oscar wins for Disney and I did some research.

Most people forget that Walt made a theatrical feature in 1937 containing all of his academy award shorts up to that time. It was released before Snow White, so this was really his first feature film. It's called "The Academy Award Review of Walt Disney Cartoons". It is a documentary with narration before each cartoon. It has never been released in the U.S., but it was released on laserdisc in Japan.

Cool, I never knew that! Sounds like it would be interesting to see, and more of a viewing experience than just watching a bunch of classic shorts.

That would be nice for a future Disney Treasure... I never knew of its existence.

Here is one for sale on eBay. It doesn't come up very often. I don't know why the front jacket has Donald accepting an award. He is not in any of the shorts.
