I'm not sure if this topic was created but it's self explanatory.

Artist: Portishead
Track: Roads
Album: Dummy

I love Beth Gibbons voice... and this song. Very haunting song and trip-hop at its finest (well, along with Hooverphonic and Massive Attack, anyway).
Wherever. Whatever. Have a nice day.

I'm currently listening to my iTunes Christian Music playlist on random.

Also, our school just signed a deal with several music services (Napster, Rhapsody, and 2 others) and all students get total free access! :D I just listened to a lot of Judy Garland, Vince Gill, and Ben Kweller on that.

Maybe it is just me, but the phrases "Christian Music" and "how cool is that!" don't seem to go together.

You know how if you play certain records backwards, they are meant to have Satanic messages.

If you play Christan music backwards - does it sound better?

Artist: U2

Track: Vertigo

Album: How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb

I borrowed the latest U2 album from a friend to have a listen to before I make the decision to buy it for myself. I'm thinking I shall buy it for myself. I especially like "I can feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel. I can feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel!"

Artist: J.C. Chasez (aka: the dude from N SYNC)

Album: Schizophrenic

Track: Mercy

Pretty good album. People didn't exactly run out and get this CD. I have a copy that I listen to and a copy that is on display because I've met JC Chasez.

Well there were actually quite a bit of accusations thrown towards Amy Grant in the '80s, back when she was one of only several Contemporary Christian Music artists (and before she had "crossed over" into pop) that her music contained Satanic messages when played backwards. I don't know the details of it, but it all seems pretty ridiculous to me.

And why shouldn't Christianity be expressed through music? It's a medium for the expression and communication of thoughts, feelings, ideals, etc. Music can be as viable a ministry for Christians as anything spoken or written.

Artist: Simon & Garfunkel
Track: The Sound of Silence
Album: Simon & Garfunkel's Greatest Hits

I prefer Emiliana Torrini's cover of this song but the original is good too. A touch depressing and definitely my sorta thing.
Wherever. Whatever. Have a nice day.
