Fantasia uncensored
I have made an avi of a segment of Fantasia that has been censored. It is 155MB. Can anyone tell me where I can host this for others to download and watch? Sir Hawkins, can we do it the same way you did Castaway and Story of Menstruation? Here is a still from the scene compared to the DVD:

Out of curiosity, what source did you make this avi from?? IE where did you get an uncensored copy?

This particular segment came from a videotape I made back in the 80's from a Wonderful World of Disney episode "Magic and Music". It was before Fantasia was released to video. They have since edited that TV show.Class316 wrote:Out of curiosity, what source did you make this avi from?? IE where did you get an uncensored copy?

Gee, I miss all the fun.Luke wrote:Looks like JiminyCrick91 and I deleted different ones of his multiple posts. Anyhow, in response to his post asking for the second link in Class's post to be removed, I have done so since the first link works fine and since the second link contained some pornographic material.
Anyways, on a related note, over at http://www.widescreen.org (in the multimedia section IIRC) they provide samples of other "uncensored" parts of Fantasia, involving the Centaurettes. There are 3 clips, I think. The Bacchus clip isn't there, but it is mentioned, and it's nice to actually see it uncensored now.

That is so great, mvealf is a true Disney keeper of history and archeologist
I shoulda mentioned it in the other thread but his Poppins LD caps look so beautiful and in correct proportion, almost like frameable paintings (I specialy liked the one where they are on the animated world with the bridge, that reminde me of one of the huge paintings i saw in museaums in Europe and that's the effect it woulda had on the theater screen when projected in full OAR)
Now with his latest contribution, plus the widescreen.org images we have 4 of the 5 censored bits.

It's fun to read the webmaster's commentaries too, especially anything Disney related.

Pardon me boys
Is this the cha-cha-nugget choo-choo?

Well the 5th would be the 1rst
I can say no more
Well if you watch the ebeggetting of the pastoral symph, you'll notice a very strange move as the camera pans across the semiequestrian beauties on the lake. Like a cheap amateur video, zooming in zooming out.
Is this a try out of the multiplane camera?
The first shoot of the father of a famous TV/video director than worked in the 60's making the videos as psicodelic as the songs shaking zoomin and rolling?
Or Sentient Evil?
*takes on an Hercule Poirot voice:
When I saw that scene a little bell kept riinging in my head and i seem to remember seeing a picture of our little non person centaur that has been erased from the annals of the Earth peeking through some bushes looking at the beautiful coloured (but in apparently aproved colours it seems) centaurettes as they took their languishing pleasure bath.
This memory.. real,
or sentient evil?
I think i've seen it on a Fantasia book, but since I don't have my books in front of me, or maybe I saw it once in a book at half price books, is it my imagination or is it reeal?
Imagine all the peeeople
Feeling reeeal love
It's reeal love
la la la

I would love to see the Uncensored version come to dvd in Amerca. But I highly doubt that will ever happen.

I am unable to use Bittorent because p2p sharing is blocked from the firewall. I only have dial up access from home, and you have to leave your computer on all the time for others to access it, which would be incredibly slow to download.xpern wrote:Please post the uncut segment, it would be great fun to compare with my DVD. If you need any pointers about Bittorrent I can help you out.
However, I have it temporarily hosted somewhere FOR THE NEXT 6 HOURS ONLY.
If someone who has the ability to use Bittorent, would kindly download it and share it with others, please send me a private message and I'll give you the information.

Well Ter, thanks to mvealf, I just did just that very thing... in DD 5.1, to boot! It was a royal pain in the a$$, but I finished it today. Send me an e-mail, and I'll be happy to arrange to send you a copy.Maerj wrote:What would be really cool is if we could somehow edit these deleted scenes back into the movie, then make DVDs of that. Then we'd have it uncut, the way it was originally, or at least as close as we could get it.
