Gary Trousdale Now Working at DreamWorks?
Animation insiders report that the director of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Atlantis: The Lost Empire recently left the Mouse House in not-so-good terms, and started work today at DreamWorks. No word yet on what his projects there would be.

Wrong MMB - Trousdale was developing a future project, which now seems unlikely to be greenlighted.
There was a post on AnimationNation a month or two ago by a Disney animator who said he saw Trousdale being excorted off the Disney property by Security guards! It looks like the split from Disney was 'forced' to say the least.
*sigh* Another nail in Disney's 2D animation coffin.

PS. Everybody should read the general discussion forum at AnimationNation every once in a while for the inside scoop on animation. AnimationNation is set up by animators for animators.

You know, there's a part of me that still loves Disney for all the great animated films and wonderful memories that have spawned from that, and would love to see the execs somehow worm its way through all the problems its facing now. And then there's that part of me that really wants to see the Disney just crash and burn in the biggest way possible to ensure that every single one of these executives, directors (business sense, not film director), and money-people are kicked out of their positions for good.
I'm sad to report that the latter part has been winning since the last couple years.
