Hn yaaay! I was waiting with baited breath for any word regarding the release date of the 6th book. :D

But no way in hell am I gonna wait with friends outside of Borders in line for 5 bloody hours before midnight. Never again! I'm gonna go to Cosco the next morning and pick up the book for $17, not $19. Guhuhuhu.
Wherever. Whatever. Have a nice day.

It came to my suprise when I preordered OotP fairly late, and then went to Barnes & Noble at midnight and was one of the first to get it. Any way, this is great news, next year will be a big HP year! My favorite book in the series gets its movie, and the new book!

I read this over at The Leaky Cauldron and have been hyper since then. There were some naysayers that didn't believe we'd be getting book 6 next year, but that just didn't make any sense because just a short while ago (late summer, I think) J.K. had said she was 3/4 done with the book. I can't wait to see Mary Grandpre's cover artwork for the U.S. edition. This'll be the first time we get both a Harry Potter book and film the same year (it's been alternating every year since book 4: book 4, movie 1, movie 2, book 5, and movie 3.) People have been worried that books 6 and 7 wouldn't be released in time for movie scripts to be worked on them, but it seems like everything will go just fine (movie 5 isn't even due will June 2007, so I bet we'll be seeing the final book either before or during that time).

I didn't dare order mine from Amazon last time in case no one was in when they called, how would it get through the letter box!? I'd have to wait and then go pick it up from the post office or something!

Anyway it's released on a Saturday so I can just go pick it up from a bookstore!

I got the email I think yesterday. How awesome! The only thing is only one more book and then its finished..............also hopefully Daniel Radcliffe and everyone else can hang in there for the next three movies. I mean they were only signed to three movies but they all signed up for number 4. Hopefully they realize that us fans don't want to see another actor play Harry Potter or Hermoine, or even Ron.

I love both covers for once. Normally I find the UK ones a bit bland, but this one's very nice and vivid. As for the US one, I've loved all of Mary Grandpre's covers so far, and this one's no exception. I can't wait to see what exactly the scene depicted in both covers is all about.

Hmm, I'm not really a big fan of the UK cover, I think it is the blue, I think it just looks a bit cheap! Anyhoo, I will still get it! :p

My interest in Harry Potter has dwindled a bit over the past few years...

I may pick it off the shelves in the weeks following the release.

love the UK cover, Harry looks older, wich is the idea of the series I guess. It's also a good thing it's not gonna be as long as Order of the Phoenix, my least favourite. I hope it's as good as Prisoner of Azkaban, now that book was goooood :P
