We just got a new surround sound system out in the living room and my dad hooked up the old one in my room.

it sounds so awesome now when i watch movies,Before i just had my T.V. hooked up to my stereo and that sounded pretty good but not like it does now.

Glad to hear it! Hope you have a rad time with your new system! :thumb:

Seems like just yesterday when I got a 5.1 speaker system, which was back in 2002. I remember not thinking anything could sound much better than my DVD player being hooked up to my Aiwa 2-speaker stereo system, at the time. Now I'm so used to the excellent surround sound, stereo sounds like mono!

Ah yes, surround sound is the best! Congrats jungleprince, you've just entered the next dimension of movie viewing! And this is a real treat considering Disney has remasterd the audio of most of their older titles to be released on DVD in 5.1. But the newer movies will benefit the most. If you thought Treasure Planet was only ok, try watching it in 5.1. :) All the Pixar movies sound incredible as well.

I don't get fancy sound systems. If I did I would never stop watching movies. :P
the current TV I watch movies on actually has failing sound and picture. I wish I had my 52" TV still. I didn't have anything besides the TV but it had some pretty nice sound on its own.

Honestly I have never really experienced surround sound... :P
