When does Pinocchio come to Disney Platinum edition DVD?

Post by Deco King »

When is Pinocchio due out on Platinum DVD? It has always been one of my all time favourite Disney animated movies, second only to Snow White, which I always think has that extra something, and of course Snow White was the first full length colour animated sound movie!

I love the movie with Honest John and Gideon, the evil Coachman and Stromboli, all offset by the Blue Fairy, Geppetto, Cleo and Figaro and of couse Jiminy and Pinocchio himself!

It doesn't say on the FAQ page, but most likely, post-2007. The GC was discontinued January 2002.

yeah I'm excited for that release to. I didn't get a dvd player until March of 2003 so I missed out on a lot of these great releases.

Deco King, I heard that Pinocchio shall come out as a platinum in early 2008. If you want the current DVD, but haven't already got it, go and buy it now. Because like all Disney favourites, the Evil Empire will withdraw from circulation and you'll be Pinocchioless!

The only great thing about <i>Pinocchio</i>'s last DVD was the movie! Certainly what many consider to be Walt's finest animated film deserves a full-blown remastering and extensive supplements!

But the previous posts are correct; it won't be until 2008 at the earliest if it's coming as a "Platinum Edition" and Disney doesn't again change their plans.

I'm really pissed that Disney is rigidly sticking to two Platinum discs a year, however at least they are releasing two a year and not simply one every October, I can't wait until Cinderella gets released next Octobere it's always been a favourite Walt Disney classic!
