What's your favorite Silly Symphonie?

Post by DEREKG »

Just wondering? What's your favorite SS on the first treasure release? I know there's bound to be a vol 2 around the corner. Hopefully sooner than later! Here's mine:

The Old Mill

The Ugly Duckling 1939

The Tortoise and the Hare

Three Little Pigs

and last but not least "Water Babies"

These are a my top 5, but truly I love them all...

Note: To watch Water Babies you have to click on Robber Kitten's sword.
I'm sure most of you know that! It took me a minute to figure it out?

My favorite three episodes from Silly Symphonies are:

"Water Babies"

"Three Little Pigs"

"The Grasshopper and the Ant"

I really like the whole set, and yes, I hope that there is a Volume 2 and I hope they don't wait too long.

I haven't been lucky enough to see the majority of the Silly Symphonies, and I think that I will be the only one to say that I really like "The Goddess of Spring" short, if only for the mythological basis and Art Deco-ish design of the lead character.

Oh, and of course "The Three Little Pigs!"

I love the

Skeleton Dance

Who Killed Cock Robin

and

Music Land

It's also great to get to see the unedited version of Three Little Pigs

My favorite has to be THE WISE LITTLE HEN
My wife just cracks up everytime I watch it because of the hen's voice. Donald's first appearance ever and Peter Pig make it awesome!

Who remembers The Funny Little Bunnies? I love that cartoon, along with Flowers and Trees. I don't care that they're both really corny.
