The Incredibles honored by Annie Awards!

Post by Prince Eric »

Oscar season is officially underway. Yesterday, the National Board of Review announced their winners. The Incredibles won Best Animated Feature Film, a critical blow to Shrek 2 and The Polar Express in the Oscar endeavors. There's still about twenty awards left, so I'll update on this thread. It seems like the guys at Pixar and Brad Bird should start writing their acceptance speech. :D

If Home on the Range  dosn't get the Oscar, The Incredibles is what I want to win the Oscar. The Polar Express was very good too, but if Shrek 2 or Shark's Tale win I'll be very very disappointed.
Best Movies of 2009:
1. Moon
2. Inglorious Basterds
3. The Hurt Locker
4. Coraline
5. Ponyo

Good job Mr. Incredible! :D

Either The Incredibles or Shrek 2 will win the Best Animated Film Oscar. The Incredibles will win because of the good original story idea or Shrek 2 will win because it was a popular movie with audiences this year making up to $430 million.

Great news, I wish there was no Best Animated Film category so it could win Best Picture. I'm daydreaming now.

rofl Brad Bird voiced Edna Mode!?

And yay for The Incredibles! It deserves those nominations, let's just hope it grabs the prizes... and wins the Oscar for best animated feature. ;)

On a side note, wow... Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence managed to grab a few nominations too. I will have to watch this when it comes out on DVD now. Shame that the proposed DVD cover is so hideous. Enough to deter the average person from buying it, anyway. *gag*
Wherever. Whatever. Have a nice day.

Wow! Incredibles totally wiped out the other animated features with its total number of nominations!!

It would be great but also funny if Brad Byrd got an award for voicing Edna Mode. He should get it because he was hilarious!

This is so awesome!! Go Incredibles!! Go Pixar!!

Prince Eric's and my posts from the last few days were deleted. To recap, The Incredibles has been honored as Best Animated Film by the Los Angeles Critics Association and NY Film Critics Association. The American Film Institute included it with their Top 10 List of 2004. The Golden Globes nominated the film for Best Picture (Musical/Comedy), where it is up against Ray, Sideways, The Phantom of the Opera, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

And Teacher's Pet garnered a nomination for a Best Animated Film award, but I don't remember what now.

The Incredibles honored by Annie Awards
For the record, the above statement is incorrect and misleading, unless you are saying that "The Incredibles" has been honored by multiple nominations. The actual Annie Award-winners won't be announced until January 30th, 2005.
