Explain Your Siggy

Post by Just Myself »

This is kind of in relation to the Explain Your Avatar topic. Some people, like me and JimmyJackJunior, have siggy's(short for signatures) that have wording in it that not all of us understand. Mine, for example, starts with a few lyrics from mine and my girlfriend's song, Always Something There to Remind Me. Then the link will take you to the latest Strong Bad Email. Not sure what an SBEmail is? Just click the link ;)
Cheers,

Mine are lyrics from the Japanese version of "Beauty and the Beast" since I like my signature to match my avatar. Oh, and the "Jasmine of the World" at the end is a translation of "Sekaino Jasmine", but I'm sure everybody already figured that out. :D

Mine would be a linked image to GetFirefox.com! I suggest that everyone who currently uses Internet Explorer at least try it out. It's super fast, has a built-in pop-up blocker, tabbed browsing, way better privacy and security features, and much more. Plus, none of that Microsoft "patching the patches" crap.

My siggy is off of the personalized line from my checks in my checkbook, (disney checks of course!). Above my signature it says "Still Wishing On Stars".

Mine has a link to My DVDs at DVDAficionado.

And the rest usually changes. Right now it's a quote from Desperate Housewives (WATCH IT EVERYONE, IT'S GREAT!), but before it was a whole bunch of Luke quotes (which I can't remember anymore :( ), and before that, I'm thinking I had some kind of Eisner joke that wasn't very funny.

My signature is a tribute to some of those that died in the Hendrick Motorsports plane crash only a few weeks ago. The plane crashed heading into the Martinsville, Virginia's airport (it may be called something else). It was a huge tradegy for the NASCAR world. Ricky Hendrick was a fromer driver and car owner as well as the famous Rick Hendrick's son. John Hendrick, the man behind the sences at HMS and Randy Dorton(the engine builder) also died. 7 others also died including John Hendrick's twin daughters. :( :(

Mine ... the first line, of course, is a phrase from my favorite movie, the line uttered by Stitch during his trial. His alien remark that causes the robot alien to throw up bolts. One assumes it's an insult. Or something. And the second line ... is taken from the song Monochrome by the group The Sundays, my favorite music. The full verse or stanza (or whatever it's called) goes ...

me and my sister
we crept down like shadows
they're bringing the moon right down
to our sitting room
static & silence
and a monochrome vision

But I just took the last bit for my signature. I like it.
Meega na la queesta.

Mine is a phrase from the pilot Episode of the 80's Classic TV Show Scarecrow And Mrs King.

I will posts different quotes from Scarecrow And Mrs. King randomly.

Mine, for the .001% of the people who don't know, is a quote from my favorite Seinfeld episode, where Newman grills Jerry on his stereo. I really love the one-liners in that episode.

My new siggy starts with the chorus to what I think is the BEST ROCK SONG OF THE YEAR: Vertigo by U2.

The next line is a quote from (d'uh) our head admin and ruler, Luke, about my take on National Treasure.

And lastly is a quote from the latest Strong Bad email.

'I don't even remember your name, Davey!!!'
Cheers,

"One more robot learns to be... something more than a machine."

That's a line from a Flaming Lips' song. "One More Robot/Sympathy 3000-21" off their album Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots. <3
Wherever. Whatever. Have a nice day.

Lyrics from "Defying Gravity" from the musical Wicked. I'm hoping to replace it with a graphic soon, since I'm not too satisfied with it. And I just changed it too. How sad. Two years ago, I would have changed my signature every week....along with my username.

Updated my siggy with another DH quote. I would've had one from last night's episode, but I still have to watch my tape of it. Since the Christmas season is upon us, I put up one from an earlier episode (I think the second or third), with Lynette threatening her kids after they act up.

My signature says it all. I never watch a full screen movie if it is available in WIDESCREEN. I know all the early movies were full screen 1:33.1 and it wasn't until the early 60's that we finally got 1:85.1 as a standard. Heck, in 1956 we got Cinemascope when they released "The Robe" and "Knights of the Round Table". At my age I remember some of the three-dimensional movies (3-D) where you had to wear those wacky glasses.

Anyway, I just want all the movies that are made in Anamorphic Widescreen formats to be released that way. Pan and Scan sucks big time.

Also included in my signature is My DVD Collection! and I use the newest and BEST site there is - DVD Spot dot com. If you are looking for a free place to put all your DVD's that's the place to go. Better than Affeciando and Guzzlefish, and it is FREE forever.

my siggy used 2 be an extract of the chapter XXII of the book Bambi, I like it because it's true:many people hates something or someone but still don't do anything to solve it,maybe because are too scared or just don't want to see

One of the best lines ever sung by Jimmy Buffet to explain, well, the fcat that logic just doesn't apply (and never will) for some folks :)
