Ultimate Disney: The Beginning?
Has there ever been a UD forum before this one and if so is there a link?
Cheers,

That wasn't called the Ultimate Disney board though, like this one is. That was different, very different and very special to those who did post there like Loomis, 2099net and a few others who have love in their hearts.DisneyChris wrote:No, I remember UD had an old forum at another domain a few years ago, and old forum members like Loomis and 2099net were already posting at that time. But because the board wasn't stable and always displayed condom ads, Luke abandoned it and made this great present PHPbb forum.
Yeah. I think I posted, like, twice

I remember posting there a couple of times at least thanking Luke for the site. Then I lurked for months on end when this board went up.

I was there in the early months as well.... I remember all of the boards we had. Even though I don't post as frequently as I did previously, I continue to check the boards and news everyday!
Inigo: I do not mean to pry, but you don't by any chance happen to have six fingers on your right hand?
Westley: Do you always begin conversations this way?
Inigo: You seem a decent fellow. I hate to kill you.

Yeah, it used to be one of those very, very basic forums that functioned literally like a bulletin board. It was a OneCenter-hosted place, and it had all of those cheap, annoying pop-up ads to support its free service.
Click here if you really wanna see it; it can still be used as a "back-up" forum for when the main phpBB one is acting up, but I dunno how many people even remember that it's still around.
Life often leaves us standing bare, naked and dejected with a lost opportunity. Over the bleached bones and jumbled residues of numerous civilizations are written the pathetic words: "Too late."

Yes, I only post there a (small) handful of times before this one was launched.2099net wrote:Yeah. I think I posted, like, twice
Actually, looking back at it now, we all posted far more than we think we did - and we weren't just trying to boost our post counts then.
At one point, I seem to offer to kiss PapaBear.
Look, my very first UD post (Feb 15 2003 ) - at least, that is the oldest I can find:

Heh, like looking at baby photos. The condom ads are still there too!
