Round 2.26 - Freaky Friday (2003)
Round 2.27 - Angels In The Outfield
Round 2.28 - Remember The Titans
Round 1 - Winner: Pollyanna
We've completed the first of three rounds in Live-Action Survivor! Now, we set out to pick the movie that will square off one-on-one against Pollyanna for the ultimate championship in Round 3.
Round 1 dealt with movies made prior to 1990 (I had to make the slight change from the site's grouping, which breaks at 1980, to slightly even out the two groupings). Round 2 will concern movies made from 1990 to the present day.
Live-action films have already been defined for us by Luke's pages for them here on the site. The complete list of films made between 1990 and today can be found at the bottom here (this list also includes movies made between 1980-1990).
It works just like the Survivor TV show. Basically, come on here once every 2 days and vote for the live-action Disney film that you want to vote off, i.e., the one that you like the least. Everyone is welcome!!
At the end of the sub-round, I'll come on here and announce which films got voted off, and a new thread will start for the next sub-round. This gets to be a lot of fun, especially when it gets down to the wire!
You can talk about your reasons for your vote, but I ask that you put the full title of what you're voting for in bold letters so that it's easy for me to count them all in a hurry.
As always, I ask that you let me make the final announcement of each sub-round's winner, so as to avoid confusion/ambiguity. I occasionally come in a little late, but for the most part, I'm usually able to come in and make the announcement shortly after the round ends.
So, Survivors ready?? Come on in and vote off ONLY ONE of these movie, the FINAL FOUR:
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
The Santa Clause
The Muppet Christmas Carol
Voting ends at midnight (EASTERN TIME) on Saturday, November 13th.

The Santa Clause
I know it's gonna end up being Pirates anyway, but I think I'll still participate.

Life often leaves us standing bare, naked and dejected with a lost opportunity. Over the bleached bones and jumbled residues of numerous civilizations are written the pathetic words: "Too late."

THE SANTA CLAUSE... definitely
To all that come to this happy place: welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America. -Walt Disney.

It's almost impossible for me to pick one of these movies, all three are stellar! I'm so torn. I think I'll go with The Muppet Christmas Carol, simply because it doesn't represent the best of the Muppets (though it's still great).
