I have nothing more to say. Warner have gone from the middle of the pile to the top with this news, news of Looney Tunes and their continued series of 2 disc releases of their classic movies.

Their "The Haunting" release is disappointing though. Surely this deserved a 2 disc release?

Now I just really, really really hope they release Steven Spielberg Presents shows like "Animaniacs", "Freakazoid", and "Tiny Toon Adventures" in box/season sets. Oh, pleasepleaseplease, Warner Bros.!!

Yes, I've been confused by the Batman releases so far so this has been great news! Can't wait...

Oh, and can anyone answer me this: there are 2 Loney Tunes sets coming out - the 4 disc set and the 2 disc. Is the 2 disc essentially a cut down version of the box, or is the content completely different?

At least the 4 disc will be uncut episodes from what I've read. Really should order that soon...

What is the releationship between MGM and WB? Are they just like Disney, Buena Vista, and Touchstone, etc? Most of WBs classic movies are MGM films; The Wizard of Oz, Singin' In The Rain, A Night At The Opera, The Philadelphia Story, to name a few.

Warners bought all the MGM films until a certain date some time ago, so all the early MGM films belong to Warners.

Loomis - yes the 2 disc set is included in the 4 disc set of Looney Tunes. That is stated in many places on the web. What is still not clear is if the 2 disc "Premier Collection" will include the supplements (some people think the 2 discs on the 4 disc set will have additional supplements)

Finally Batman:The Animated Series and Superman: The Animated Series both were great shows but lasted about 4 seasons each.
I hope they have the Justice League DVD season one on DVD.

There has actually been even more updated info since then, with the recent HTF Chat with WB indicating that Batman: TAS will be out THIS year (2004). Hopefully it will be true this time

I am SO excited by this news. I am a HUGE Superman fan. I love Batman too(and DC characters in general). I plan to buy both shows(B:TAS is one of my fave cartoons ever), but I am especially excited about Superman becasue I have only seen a few episodes since I didn't get WB during the time that it aired.

Participants already recorded for commentaries and interviews include Bruce Timm, Paul Dini, and Alan Burnett, among others. Several members of the voice cast and creative team for each animated series are heavily involved in production of these releases. Also, expect a few surprise creators from the world of comic books to featured on these DVDs.

When asked about their plans for these DVD sets, the representative for WB said the plans are to release every episode for each animated series.

DC comics is owned by Warner Brothers, so I believe that this is the first confirmation of a release and what will be in it.

This is excellent news! Never got into Superman, but I was OBSESSED with Batman. I've heard rumors of TAS boxsets for a while, and now it's confirmed, woohoo!

I'd rather see the '60s series with Adam West released on DVD, though.

I would also rather like to see the BATMAN 60's series with Adam West on DVD rather than the Animated I watch it every Friday and Saturday night on TV LAND! It is the best series ever.

Superman: The Animated Series and Batman: The Animated Series were both great series back in the 90's.
I use to watch them both when I was younger.

Their is a company on E-Bay that has the complete sets of BATMAN the origional series from the 60's which starred Adam West for about $90.00 a piece they are new and sealed from Canada and they have coustom menus and everything very nice. I wish I could afford it.

Those are bootlegs. A few bidders gave the sellers scathing negative feedbacks.

Adam West may have been the first Batman on television but I don't really like that show.
The Batman 60's show seems so chessy.
