Which Song Is The Best? - Round 26: HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME
Welcome to "Which Song Is The Best? - Round 26"! Here you can vote for your favourite song of the current Disney animated classic in the round, and if you like, you can rank them simultaneously too. Voting period lasts for 2 days. This round we have...
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
*Because some Disney animated classics have only one or no songs, and I want to ignore the WWII "package" features, the following films will be left out from the game: Saludos Amigos, The Three Caballeros, Make Mine Music, Fun and Fancy Free, Melody Time, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, The Black Cauldron, The Rescuers Down Under, Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

I've only seen the movie once and for a long time I'd recognize the song titles but not the songs. Then there was the Top 100 Disney Songs countdown we did, and I gave another listen to the 3 songs that made the list and one that just missed it.
1) Out There
2) The Bells of Notre Dame
3) Heaven's Light/Hellfire
4) God Help the Outcasts

"Fifteen years from now, when people are talking about 3-D, they will talk about the business before 'Monsters vs. Aliens' and the business after 'Monsters vs. Aliens.' It's the line in the sand." - Greg Foster, IMAX chairman and president

Out There is my absolute favorite!
I've actually re-recorded a version of it.
If you want I could e-mail it to anyone who asks.
Post a reply to me, and I'll get you my e-mail address!
I also love God Help The Outcasts!
But one of the best story telling songs ever featured in a
Disney film was The Bells of Notre Dame.
Where else can you find a whole mini-saga compacted
into a 5 minute musical number!
Alan Menken was at his Theatrical best when writing this score.
(In fact I think that may be why many dislike HUNCHBACK.
It's more staged and more theatrically based than almost any
other Disney animated film.)
