Live-Action SURVIVOR - Round 2.14

Post by AwallaceUNC »

So far, we've voted off...
Round 2.1 - Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey, Flubber, Heavyweights
Round 2.2 - Homeward Bound 2: Lost In San Francisco, The Big Green, My Favorite Martian
Round 2.3 - Max Keeble's Big Move, Rocketman, The Country Bears
Round 2.4 - Mr. Magoo, The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Snow Dogs
Round 2.5 - D3: The Mighty Ducks, First Kid, Air Bud
Round 2.6 - Blank Check, The Rocketeer, 102 Dalmatians
Round 2.7 - D2: The Mighty Ducks, White Fang
Round 2.8 - Iron Will, Air Bud: Golden Receiver
Round 2.9 - Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Newsies
Round 2.10 - The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, Tall Tale
Round 2.11 - Mighty Joe Young, That Darn Cat
Round 2.12 - Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book, Inspector Gadget
Round 2.13 - Man of the House, Honey I Blew Up The Kid
Round 1 - Winner: Pollyanna

We've completed the first of three rounds in Live-Action Survivor! Now, we set out to pick the movie that will square off one-on-one against Pollyanna for the ultimate championship in Round 3.

Round 1 dealt with movies made prior to 1990 (I had to make the slight change from the site's grouping, which breaks at 1980, to slightly even out the two groupings). Round 2 will concern movies made from 1990 to the present day.

Live-action films have already been defined for us by Luke's pages for them here on the site. The complete list of films made between 1990 and today can be found at the bottom here (this list also includes movies made between 1980-1990).

It works just like the Survivor TV show. Basically, come on here once every 2 days and vote for the live-action Disney film that you want to vote off, i.e., the one that you like the least. Everyone is welcome!!

At the end of the sub-round, I'll come on here and announce which films got voted off, and a new thread will start for the next sub-round. This gets to be a lot of fun, especially when it gets down to the wire!

You can talk about your reasons for your vote, but I ask that you put the full title of what you're voting for in bold letters so that it's easy for me to count them all in a hurry.

As always, I ask that you let me make the final announcement of each sub-round's winner, so as to avoid confusion/ambiguity. I occasionally come in a little late, but for the most part, I'm usually able to come in and make the announcement shortly after the round ends.

There are even more films in Round 2 than there were in Round 1 (six more, in fact)! Round 2 will be structured slightly differently. Three movies will be cast off in each of the first 6 sub-rounds (the three with the most votes to leave). After that, two films will leave in each sub-round, until we reach the top 10. Make sense?

So, Survivors ready?? Come on in and vote off ONLY ONE of these 26 movies:

Miracle
The Haunted Mansion
Freaky Friday (2003)
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
Holes
The Santa Clause 2
Tuck Everlasting
The Rookie
The Princess Diaries
Remember The Titans
Disney’s The Kid
I’ll Be Home For Christmas
The Parent Trap (1998)
George of the Jungle
Jungle 2 Jungle
101 Dalmatians (1996)
Muppet Treasure Island
Tom and Huck
The Santa Clause
Angels In The Outfield
The Three Musketeers (1993)
Cool Runnings
Hocus Pocus
The Adventures Of Huck Finn
The Mighty Ducks
The Muppet Christmas Carol

Voting ends at midnight (EASTERN TIME) on Sunday, October 10th.

Do people like I'll Be Home for Christmas that much, or is it because practically no one's seen it?

Hocus Pocus can leave now. Cool Runnings is a top 15 movie, the one I'd personally like to win.

I expect no one's seen it, it's usually the case! Crap movies always get through to the final rounds of these things. :(

Hmm

Post by Disney Guru »

I saw I'll Be Home For Christmas.

My mom rented it for me when it came out because she didn't know what it was like. Trust me after I hated having to sit their and watch that movie. It is the most boring movie I have ever seen. Because the whole movie was stuped and retarded. Jonathan Taylor Thomas, should have stuck to Home Improvement. Both of the films that he made with Disney were stupid. Both Man of The House, and I'll Be Home For Christmas were poorly written, and consist of bad story lines.
