Game shows you like/dislike. Which one would you be on?

Post by GOGOinVegas »

Its hard to think of interesting topics, but I thought of this whilst watching Jeopardy. I wonder if Alex trebeck would do well on his own show....hmmm anyway, I like some game shows . when Im old I will probably sit in my Lazyboy and watch them with a tall glass of Low-Acid Tropicana OJ.
I like Lingo, and Jeopardy, and that crazy import MXC!! ( have you seen this? it is so funny!!!) I dont particularly like 'Who wants to be a Millionaire', but I find myself watching it when its on.

If I could have been on one, I really liked 'Press your Luck' ( with the Whammys!) and 'Win lose or Draw'. Are you guys to young to know what those were? :) Oh well. I hate 'Weakest Link'

ok, your turn!
Jules: You know the shows on TV?
Vincent: I don't watch TV.
Jules: Yeah, but, you are aware that there's an invention called television, and on this invention they show shows, right?

Jeopardy rocks! I enjoy whenever the kid's version is on, because then I know all the questions. There's been a little something funny about Alex Trebek, though, ever since he became un-moustachioed.

Some of my favorite game shows are Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Match Game, Family Feud, and Millionaire. Last summer I tried out for Wheel, but it was a very crappy audition (about 2000 or so people came, and they just drew names out of a big turning wheelie thing, and the basket that my dad and I put our names in somehow didn't end up in the wheelie thingy cause no one from our section was called up!).

I'm not much for game shows, but my mom used to watch The Price is Right all the time. She really wanted to be on it, but it never happened.

I love Street Smarts, Price is Right, and Russian Roulette. We went to a taping of the Price is Right on our honeymoon which was pretty cool.

The only one I really hate is Dog eat Dog...the people aren't too bright. "what is the largest island in the Mediterranean?" "Hawaii?"

The Price Is Right and Jeopardy are my favorite game shows, and I wish I could appear as a contestant on either or both of them.

I like a ton of game shows, and I'm upset that my local cable provider stopped putting GSN in its basic tier. I really like the classics (sometimes just for the fashions) and the long-running shows.

I do like Millionaire, and I like both Regis and Meredith, but I wish it was still a 1 hour show.

I love Price Is Right, Millionaire and Jeopardy. Wheel I can take or leave. If I had my choice of ones to be on it'd be Millionaire which gives you all the lifelines and 1/100th the questions of Jeopardy to win a decent sum of money. I especially wouldn't want to be on Jeopardy these days during the Ken Jennings Era. He came close to losing tonight but otherwise has looked pretty invincible. If he'd missed the final Jeopardy question tonight he'd have lost with the amount he bet. Now that he's had his off night he might rip 50 more wins in a row. It's got to be depressing being picked right now to gon on it knowing that you are basically playing for 2nd place and the better parting gifts.

I enjoy watching Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy!, and Family Fued. I would love to be on Jeopardy!... My least favorite game show would probably be Millionaire. After about 5 episodes, it just got boring.

I'd love to be on Match Game (insert year in the 70s). Especially since the contestants on tha show are just about as dumb as they look, and I'd feel so much smarter. Let's Make a Deal from the 70s is also fun (you can tell I used to watch GSN), because of how excited everyone was to win $100.

In the 60s I was on the Dating Game with Jim Lange, and had a blast. I was one of three bachelors, and I got picked. Spent three days and two nights in Reno, Nevada at Harrahs, and it was a blast.

In the 70s, I reached the finals for new contestants for Jeopardy with Alex Trebeck. Never heard from them after they took all my information.

In the 90s, I was a contestant on Rock 'n' Roll Jeopardy and won $5,000. That was a very fun show, and it was pretty easy to pass the tests to get on the show.

Now for my favorite show of this year, Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader? and I just passed the preliminary audition and am flying to Los Angeles next week for the second of three auditions for the show. I really want to get on this show. It really looks like fun, and I would like to meet Jeff Foxworthy. Wish me luck.

I love Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. I watch them every night, if I'm home. I also have loved The Price is Right since I was a little kid, and still love it today. Some other shows that I love to watch on GSN are Lingo, Press Your Luck, and MatchGame.

We're avid Game Show Network watchers in my family. I enjoy quite a few, especially the classic game shows. However, my favorite is definitely Match Game. That show is just loads of fun! I don't think I've ever seen an episode that hasn't made me laugh. I really need to add the DVD to my collection.

As for shows I would like to be on, I plan on applying for Big Brother after my 18th birthday. That day couldn't come any sooner! As I'm sure most of you already know, I'm crazy obsessed with that show!

P.S.
I know Big Brother doesn't really count as a typical game show, but I would never turn down an opportunity to post about it! :P

:o :o :o That's awesome, dvdjunkie!!! Even though the show isn't on anymore, that's the show that I would pick to be on- I was really good at it, and I'd watch it every weekend!!! Wow, I'm so jealous!!! That's really cool!!!!!

I was in the Hot Seat for Who Wants to Be a Millionaire- Play It! at Disney-MGM Studios about 2 (?) years ago. I got up to $32,000. It was really fun!

I am hoping to do well on "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?". I will keep you all up to date on my progress, and if I make it when I will be on the show. I just hope that I am smarter than a fifth grader!!!

your favorite game show

Post by dvd500 »

What is your favorite game show? Mine are "Wheel of Fortune", "Jeopardy!", and "The Price Is Right", because Bob Barker, Pat Sajak, and Alex Trebek, in my opinion, are the 3 best game show hosts in the business, because if you host a game show for 20 years or more, again, in my opinion, you are awesome.

Thanks,

Math Game from the 70s for sure. Sadly GSN doesn't show it as much anymore. They'd rather have Lingo, Weakest Link or some other crap.
