Who has Mickey Mouse and The House of Villains? + reasons.

Post by Evil Genie Jafar »

I wonder how many have it and their reasons for buying it.

In my case I just bought it because it features Jafar 8) and has a "main" participation.

PS

Altough the shorts are good I felt they could have done so much more with the idea. I mean to have all the Disney Villains in a film? I think than even whatever other concept they've chosen would have worked better. Especially to give them more screen action.

The cartoon shorts drove me crazy! I would've fast-forwarded through them if my younger siblings weren't also watching it. Plus, the story wasn't the greatest. They could have done so much better.

So, I don't own it.

I didn't like it all, probably beacuae i had seen most of the shorts on house of mouse or owned most of the classic shorts. i felt the story in the club was kinda weak too. I prefered Snowed in at the House of Mouse much more.

I'm didn't like it to a great amount, namely the reason being that Maleficent had the screen time of about 6 seconds. And also, they show Maleficent turn into a dragon, then later you see the back of her human head, when she's still a dragon! Any way, I own it basically because its a Disney movie all about the villains. I justchapter skip through the shorts, the only one I can sit through at this piont is the one with goofy as a ghost.

A Greatest Villains DVD would be a better idea!!

Post by Deco King »

Several years ago Disney bought out a VHS video of the compilation from TV about the greatest villains. I'm sure that a compilation about the greatest villains would be a good seller these days, and now with the amazing restorations they can produce it would be much better. It would be a great seller around Halloween!!

Well, the shorts on it are great, so I'll probably end up getting the DVD just for that (I've actually owned it once before, but I returned it after renting it first). The House of Mouse concept is always cool, but I was just hoping for something a bit more theatrical (not literally) or full-scale, with a name like Mickey's House Of Villains, than what it ended up being.

No I didn't buy this one but I bought the DVD of Snowed In At The House Of Mouse. And I love that one. I bought it at Christmas Time last year, and I cherish it. It is so cute for the whole family, I also loved how they included both old and new Disney Christmas Cartoons on the DVD, Disney is working well to make us happy.

I would buy that in a second if Disney ever issued it to dvd!

It was called Halloween Haunts I believe and narrated by a creepy stop-motion pumpkin character who presented and introduced all the principle villains through 4 minute short film clips showcasing some of the most memorable moments from classic Disney movies with a haunting voiceover commentary track. The special opened with the wizard's duel segment from Sword In The Stone followed by clips from the evil witch's death atop the mountain in Snow White, the car chase scene from 101 Dalmations, the Siamese cats doing their wonderful musical number from Lady & The Tramp, Captain Hook as "public enemy number one" delivering Peter Pan's explosive birthday gift and most notably, the nightmarish sequence from Night On Bald Mountain.

I don't understand why Disney hasn't thought to revisit these older video specials on dvd, the holiday themed compilation programs would be huge sellers around Halloween and Christmas time and I would be first in line to pre-order every single one!
