This is the first I've heard of "Lilo & Stitch: Island of Adventures", which sounds like it will be a game DVD, a first for Disney.

Well thart's an interesting concept...any indications of an SRP on that L & S title?

And gee, I wonder how many studios are gonna be watching how well that is received.

Hrm... a game, on a dvd? That's odd. I wonder how they implement that.. If it'd be DVD-ROM only or what? Thanks for the news LUke! ;)

There's been a number of games on DVD released in the UK - including a version of Who want to be a Millionaire!

They play similarly to the mini games on Disney DVDs. Random questions and events, select from multiple answers, DVD player keeps track of scores etc.

http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/index.cgi?page=News&id=3809

Because the authoring is so complicated they don't work on all players.

Looking at the Lilo and Stitch game, it looks like it will be turn based and play like the Mario Party games.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Well, I'm really excited about Santa Clause 2 and Sleeping Beauty. I have the old VHS copy of Lion King, and since I don't have a DVD player and most people have said the Morning Report was terrible, I don't feel the need to replace it.

I knew he didn't have a DVD player yet, but what was shocking was that he's going to pass on The Lion King DVD because "The Morning Report" sequence is lame. Even if it WEREN'T, that would NOT be the reason to buy it on DVD.

I feel so bad for true Disney fans that are missing out on all that these loaded DVDs have to offer. I know PA has said he's hoping to get a player soon and all...but think of all the fun he's missed out on thus far :(

As a matter of fact we should probably take up a collection so that he can get....Ahhh, nevermind. That'd be $$ we could spend on our own Disney DVD collections :D

Thanks for the offer, indianajdp, but we can afford our own DVD player-it's just not something we need right now. We just bought a new van, my school's tuition just went up, and I'm the only one in my family who really wants one.

And I'm not passing up the Lion King DVD-I wouldn't have bought it anyway since I don't have the player. But I was passing up on the new VHS-I still have the old one, and the new sequence isn't worth replacing it. I'd replace it with the DVD in an instant.

Actually Luke, Starion made certain hand gestures when he posted that info. Therefore I think it was in fact different and perhaps a bit more informative and interactive than your info 8)

Instead of buying the collector's edition of Lion King or any other DVD for that matter, maybe you should invest some money into a DVD player. There are some out there for about 70 dollars, I think.

i just don't want you to miss out on anything...like DVD's
